well, i'm selling 10€ cap (plus shipping)
i paid 3,5€ to send it to UK. I think it will be similar to that to ship it to canada.
oh, and it will cost me the same sending one or two caps ;)i know that some people can find this expensive (10€) but i have to buy aluminium and than make one by one (very "home made style"). I can't sell it for less than 10€.
so:
nunkow - 1
Mocker - 1
IDK - 1 (?)
sherms - 1 or 2
samdaniel - 1 -
hey! ;)
well, i have 2 Dura-ace stems and 1 shimano 600. I had only one original cap and soon i started thinking about solving that problem. I did 2 alloy caps (they fited better than the original one) and than saw jambon searching for one here.
Well, better start cap'ing my days (eh eh eh!).
How many caps will i have to make?
It's better for me to make them all at once so I will wait to see if more people want...so for now it will be 3

I am starting to wonder if 250 € is actually THAT cheap if you have to sand/smooth all the welds yourself and have it painted on your own etc.
time is money, innit?
that was my choice ;)
...and i think that's why i love "her" even more.
But Valdemiro also do the paintjobs and a think it's not expensive -

What Lucifer asked. How did you clean the welds? What did you do to it?
argh!!! I think my english will not be enoughf to describe the hole process.
Well, to have the weldings like that was a early ideia of mine so when i ask Valdemiro to weld the tubes i asked him to make them (the welds) fat so i can "lixar" (sorry! I don't know the english word) the welds to look "clean".
the weldings at first

after some work they sarted to look this way
than i prepared the frame to the "betume" the micro scratches.

as said before, the cannondale look-like weldings was an inspiration. I have a cannondale BTT bike and i love the weldings... this image show why ;)

yup!!! Dark Alu one:-) That bike is stunning!!
thanks ChainBreaker! ;)
She (yeah! It's a "she") gave me alot of work but i think that made me love her even more.
As you will see the dark gray change alot with the sun (or without sun).
I'm going to show here some pics of her (different wheels and so on...)this pic was taken on her first week. With a home made bullhorn and miche Pista WR wheels.

than i bought a gipiemme tecno wheelset and used the front wheel on her for some weeks

me ridding her

here you can see her color with some sun light and also the detail of the weeldings

after some weeks (must tell that "she" was my first fixed gear bike) i started to ride her with pista dropbars.

this week she's ridding with a HED3 wheel

I only wish i save money for a good camera but i spend all my money on them (my bikes. eh eh!)
Sorry for the poor quality of the photos (oh! also for my poor english) ;) -

Noca, that is also an amazing paint job. When you say you did it yourself, did you actually physically can in hand, do i yourself, or did you do it here through someone like Armourtex?
all the handjob (hey hey! Not that kind of "handjob" eh eh!) i did it myself. Prepare the weeldings (that's alot of work), give "primário", and so on... I also made de stickers (by hand and than reproduced it in vinyl).
I have a great friend of mine who is a professional painter and he helped me to produced the final color and than painted the final hand. It was painted like a car...
I've painted all my bikes like this.this one using black, brown and a little gold

this one using 6 different colors

and so on... ;)

It's been temping me ever since I saw those photos too..
Argh.nuknow said that thing about the cannondale track frame. He's right about it.
I love the cannondale frame. When i decided to make my own frame i thought about some details of that frame (the weeldings). I tried to show it when i introduced my bike here.
I never told Valdemiro about the cannondale track frame. I gave him the geometry i want and than i choose the tubings for it.I only wish you guys can ride my bike and feel it. You sure understand more than I about track bikes. I think it came out great. I was a BTT freak and I only started to ride road bike a year ago. Than i made my first singlespeed (soon i will show it here) and than this fixed gear bike.

Would make more sense to get 1st similar track forks of the 'dale off somewhere else, and then ask for a replica of the actual frame. Through what I understood on the phone with him, to order forks
increases considerably the price.
Meaning, most of his work now his custom Carbon. So i guess it's almost like sale price for "vintage" :D
I remember him being really surprised I wanted to know about steel and alloy.
But he can do it. He stocks Vitus, Reynolds and Columbus steel and I remember he likes to build with Easton alloy.mine is in Easton Scandium Alloy

@noca- does that framebuilders also do just forks?
hummm!
maybe... I think so.
I saw there alot of steel (also for forks)
And this one is not from them. I didn't buy it there. -
-
hey ;)
Here am I again. Just to show you all new pics of my bike with a HED front wheel.
I never rode a bike with this kind of wheel. Yesterday i tested it (a very windy day) and "she" tried to bite me alot of times. I never imagine that the wind can affect "her" so much.
It's a great wheel to ride against the wind but not with side winds.

I quite like this bike and I'm not a fan of alu frames. Dolans, Vigorellis, Mashes, Leaders don't please me at all.
This bike is sweet, though. The welds don't look sore and painful to watch and the paintwork's lush.remember, the paintjob was not made by Valdemiro. I did it myself.
I spent alot of hours working on it (just preparing the frame for the paintjob) and that's why the final look of the welds look that way.
I think Valdemiro can also do that but the price might get higher.
I also must remind you all that this frame was almost 100% designed by me and i picked the tubes (Easton scandium) for it. Valdemiro made a great job by welding the tube as i asked him to. I saw him (last week) starting a new track frame (very different than mine) using also alu but not scandium. That might change the price too.
But nothing like talking with him about a project. He sure likes personal projects. That's why i did my project there... and that's why i will make another one ;) -
I've posted this bike before but have just changed a couple of things... Biggest of which was the saddle which is now a chopped and tied Brooks B17. I read a fair bit about chopping them on here and other sites and was going to take it to Skully but after a couple of tinnies I was pretty sure I'd manage it...
Pretty much the most cow boy job ever, had it resting on my leg while slicing it and didnt even template it up, used a chain too to punch holes and an old shoe lace to tie, despite all those factors I think it came out pretty well...

i loooove this bike ;)

a steal?!
