@ectoplasmosis it’s a WTB/King collaboration from 89/90, basically a Chris King headset but with a the wtb grease guard feature. I’ve been looking for one for a few years to match a wtb wheelset.

@e54
I’m pretty sure you took a photo of my 1fg last summer at the storage unit in Berlin? Mine had a headshok though. Been very tempted to go check that rigid one out, I had a small with a headshok and a medium rigid stolen in 2009 if I remember correctly I stuffed my info in a ziplock bag down the seat tube -

This lad does it by filling off the little metal stop bit inside the shifter it’s around 20mins into the video -
Lovely meeting you @almac68 and those are better pics of that bike than I’ve ever taken! Hope you come back to Berlin for a visit, a lot of folk don’t realize how it’s really still like 2 cities (east and west)…..
Also Meine Bar is shite not worth a visit at all and no tourists allowed (; -
It used to be so much worse on that corner, they’ve put in an asphalt path that he’s riding on, it used to be just concrete all the way up to the inside wall that would stay iced over for months (I must of fallen at least 10 times there on foot). If you time it right with the waves you can make it round

You wouldn’t believe it lad, I was a bike messenger in Chicago from 90-00, always watched Seinfeld on a Thursday, he had a breitling and a Klein mtb! Got hit by a drunk, got a payout, bought a Klein and a breitling of a watch guy I was delivering packages for. The stores still there called Howard Frum on Wabash. Used to ride with the watch for luck, all over the world, had it worked on by some real different folk so a lot of parts were not perfect. A few years ago was talking to a mate that’s mad on watches, he took it and sent it to Breitling, came back beautiful and still lucky, I don’t ride with it anymore the same lad got me a Rolex last year so I ride with that bit fussy though and the jubilee bracelet gets dirty on a building site

@Sam_w I’ve been using a Thule box that fits on my bike rack/hitch for the last couple of years. Works really really well, can fit 2 dogs, 3 adults and 2 kids in the car and I use a seasucker on the roof to carry a bike. In the winter I’ve been using the box as firewood storage.
