If I'm not able to try it out, I think I'm going to chance it that a 56 roller and a 56 crosscheck should fit about the same. I enjoyed riding a 56 roller more than a 59 so I'll go for a 56 crosscheck.

Any minor differences should be easily fixed by playing with stem length, seatpost layback and saddle positioning.

I ride both steamroller and crosscheck . I love both bikes . I commute 13 miles each way everyday . At the moment its steamrollers turn . It is such a quick nimble bike puts a smile on my face every morning ,the best thing about going to work is the ride in ,and ride home. The CC feels slightly different,its comfy just recently done a 110 miles on it , and could of gone on and on . I do use it for load carrying,is shopping etc its a very versatile bike ,feels like I could do anything on it .

Thinking about getting a new set (or at least front) built for the bruiser (700c, v brakes).

Going to try using either mesh or a thin "band" cover around the middle of each wheel (like Jono's I think), mainly to stop balls/mallets getting stuck.

I'm thinking Salsa Delgado Cross rims or Mavic A719, any advice for spokes or hubs would be handy as I'm not really sure about either of those yet, or alternate rims I should consider would be great!

Would that really be such a massive problem if they did it? I think it actually hinders them when they do it, in that their hand isnt on the bike = less control.

I guess if your bike's big enough to block front and back with your wheels and you rest your arm on the goal to keep yourself steady, you've only got to watch the BB area with your mallet (ignoring super cool over-wheel goals...), but this is all guess work, I was really happy with the goals over all.

I really liked those goals. They were a good size and not too heavy if there's a colision. Only concern would be goalies using them for support by holding onto/resting on the cross bar (easily spotted/called out by goal refs though)

Anyone riding a Steamroller AND a Crosscheck? Having ridden a 59 steamroller and eventually deciding it's probably a touch big for me (6ft), then riding a 56 and finding it a lot nicer, how does the Crosscheck compare?

Will do my best to try both before spending any money, think might struggle to test 58 crosscheck.

That's what I was trying to say.

I get a similar thing on my polo bike, every other tooth seems to pick up more dirt, I assume it's something to do with the ratio (even teeth front/back) and them always being on the inner chain links rather than the outer ones.

I'm not sure that makes as much sense as it does in my head.

Think they knocked the prices down on all the Chrome bags there a while back, tried to buy the Backbone rucksack but they ran out of stock.

50's a bit low for the moment.

That makes sense. Do you have rack mounts on your fork, or are you mounting to the axle like the Cetma/VO racks?
