True, that one with the grill does look very 100e!
According to the Morris/Austin ado16 wiki page it says thus..
During the Worboys Committee in the 1960s when the British road signage system was being redesigned, the silhouette of the ADO16 (since it was the UK's best selling car of the time) was used in many of the new road sign designs which are all still in use.

Gonna risk putting this on here even though the last car thread didnt go very well. This is, however, only for sale here! Only for sale as a little one on the way means I need to be all sensible.
This was the next design from Issigonis after the mini, and is basically a scaled-up version without the price tag. Once Britain's best selling car, there aren't many at all now though their silhouette still appears on road signs to this day. This is a very useable car with such wonders as wipers, indiactors, a heater, nice light steering, plenty of visibility and a doddle to park. They also have a great ride quality thanks to hydroelastic suspension.
1966 Morris 1100
1275 Engine with higher diff gearing meaning it can go on motorways happily as well as being great for bombing around town.
Halogen headlights
LED interior and dash lights
Plenty of patina, but crucially very solid!
Current MOT with one advisory for a CV boot.
MOT exempt, ULEZ exempt and tax exempt, with insurance costing about £90 a year.
Everything works and is just generally brilliant to bomb around in.I'm after £2700
Viewing in SE5 if you're interested!
