I rode the CliMachx trail a couple of days ago. Really good fun trail, 15km circuit, a drag of fire road climbing at the start but after the first bit of singletrack it balances out. Surface is shale and rock, predictable, hard and fast but be wary of off-camber corners. There is a small car park there but it's only a quiet 5mi ride from Machynlleth train station.

Having been part of the forum for a while I decided to go to HatBeards birthday drinks. I turned up to LMNF and recognised chainbreaker, a hug and an ear tounging later I got to the drinks. Due to Mothergirls landlord being an arse I had nowhere to stay, during the course of the night Tricity offered me a sofa and the chance of a ride to cake. Sadly I wasn't hardcore enough for the ride to cake.

Since this first visit the forum has been good to me and hasn't let me down.

Running on unknown roads in the dark somewhere in mid-wales with just a Hope V1 is interesting. Couldn't judge how far I'd run and didn't want to stop to look at the watch to find out that I'd hardly done anything. Bloody hilly too.
