I see the points on the 'Sportwool' but if I was going to decide on which brand because of merino/sportwool I would choose a Howies base layer. Mainly because I know where the Howies wool has come from and what treatment its had. But also because it's not Rapha.
I've not had any problems with my synthetic base layers so I personally wouldn't buy the merino.

You lot seen the St.Cago brake lever? Looks really simple - http://stcagopoloworks.bigcartel.com/product/dual-pull-brake-lever
I wouldn't say it's worth the cost. But I'm gonna see what I can do with a couple of offcuts from a local machine shop

Even Oakley are made in China/Japan now. The quality is there for a smaller price but everybody links European/American made things to be better.
That Indy Fab should be in anti. If you crop to just the rear half it look good. Same for the front. Looks good until you see the skinny rear triangle and fat forks.

???
With Howies everything is organic, fair trade and all that funny business. Pretty much means that there's no chemicals put into it and you know you're not paying for some slaves to sow your shirt together.
I have a hoodie 4yrs old. Only just worn through the sleeves. Jeans that are 3yrs old and are still blue unlike all the other high street brands.
Ok Howies isn't really a company that caters for specific sports but their base layers are win. Jackets and are good for casual rides.
