one of the big advantages of clips and straps over velcro straps is they're really quick to adjust to different shoes. Velcro is sloooooooow and takes a few tries to get it right.

Is there such a thing as a 26.0 bar with a flat bar to hood transition and a deep round drop? Like 3t Rotundo or Pro Vibe 75 Round, but 26.0.

I don't think 3t rotundo has a 'flat transition' but isn't the nitto noodle reasonably similar?
Deda 215 shallow (26) is the same as Deda Newton shallow (31.8), which definitely isn't a flat transition, but is a round drop.
flat transition and round drop bars are pretty new, I think 3t tornova and some of the new fizik bars are trying to do this.

I've used latex for years, michelin, and they're great and not difficult to install. Just don't pinch them when installing. Also consider butyl if you're descending in the alps (and dragging your brakes) I blew up my front doing down alp l'huez, alu rims.
I've never had a failure at the valve and puncture resistance has never been different to butyl.
