Right. Saw the lavoro.
The top tube is curved, with a slight slope. The seat stays are also curved. Both of these parts have an oval cross section. The seat tube is circular. No lovely cutaway shape, geometry doesn't look as tight. The seat tube cluster did not look as sturdy as my 2009. Playing with fire perhaps given the problems...
Fizik arione saddle with rapha striping, and new rapha pink grips.Price point is around £500 for f&f, builds starting at £789.
I didn't like it. I think that the curve and slope makes it look like a rapha sponsored globe.

Great stuff, looks like the ball is really rolling here, second batch have been printed, am just trimming. Can people let me know if they want to grab one off me at drinks or something so I make sure I bring enough :) cheers.
Given the level of support here I am probably going to look into personally funding a larger batch (although not nearly as posh) of smaller ones to distribute to (I imagine) bike based businesses. If anyone can think of a business that would be suitable or has a contact there please let me know. I'm happy to deliver. Hopefully this might be a way of reaching out to other types of bike user that might not be aware of the campaign.

Put me down for one as well please. Would need posting, drop me a message when you're sorted and I'll send details and paypal.
Cheers
On another note, I used to work for a printer called Hobs. I'm up in Leeds and I reckon as it's for a good cause, if I went down I could get a batch of these produced at cost. I could then post down to you for distribution? Not sure what the postage cost would be but guessing not that much.
In fact I have a mate that works in a london branch of Hobs that may be able to do them cheaply, which would make more sense. Or even a manager at a different printers in brum that could probs sort them for free.
Hey Malaysian, this could be really good! As above, I think it's good to offer a awesome!!! option for those that want to really publicise the cause. However I am thinking of just stumping up the cash to get a number of smaller ones made and distribute to bike shops.

Ah we could have met up then!
Can bring mine if you haven't posted already. No worries if you have.I actually posted yours yesterday, was hoping it would be with you today. Sorry if it's been held up. Feel free to say hello though :)
hey laura, if you make more of these, you should think about doing some a6 ones as well. more traditional spoke card size.
these are the best quality spoke cards i have seen.
I went for A5 with these because I thought it's never going to be a long term wear so might as well get maximum visibility for as long as the campaign runs. Hence why they are heavy stock and the better laminate! Quality campainging innit!
I was actually thinking of doing some just gloss card A6 ones, not with laminating and distributing them around, bike shops etc. Will get onto that next week.

No problem Seak and Cheesecake.
They're £1.40 a pop. Or £2 posted first class with paypal. (or yknow, £3.40 for two obviously)
I will be around the cycle show on sunday afternoon/ evening, at souths on monday, (hopefully north's although this may be a flying visit) or you can collect from me in N16.
I am starting the second batch today and they will be ready by sunday. If ready before then I will let you know.

Hello, I've been lurking in the shadows for quite a while now and really need some advice on saddles. I have previously ridden in an upright position and have used mainly mens saddles with no problems. I purchased a touring bike about a year ago and ridding in a more forward position is causing considerable pain and making longer rides miserable. I have my lady bits pierced, anyone have any recommendations?
Same problem, I just ride with a dipped nose to all saddles, otherwise the bruising was awful. Plus always lube/ chamois cream and try to wear padded shorts whenever possible.

I'd ask first, they were very helpful with me.
The fine for posters/ stcikers/ etc etc on government property can be pretty harsh though, and it might not be in keeping with the general tone taken at the meeting which was of community inclusion and working in partnership with local authorities.
Perhaps just spoke up your own bike and ride around more?

It might not have sloped by much, but the curve of the top tube exacerbated the visual impact. Have you checked to see if they have any 2009 in? If not they do show up on ebay, if you're not dead set on new. However the 2009 does twitch a bit on the road, this (2011) might not be as bad for that. Have you ridden one btw? It's a love or hate thing. Also the reach is quite short.
I don't see a link in the design at all to previous models, which is a shame as I think the 2009 is really lovely.
