Traditionally rims, keyboards (piano), shoes and chip forks have been made of wood.
it is the clash with modernity that makes wooden shit shit. I meant keyboards a la

I saw so much bad wooden crap at the berlin bike show. Bamboo bikes, wooden rims, wooden spoks et cetera. Clogs are the vibram toe shoes of northern europe.

Is there any non traditional use of wood that isn't the absolute worst? Bikes, rims, mudguards, handlebars, phone cases, keyboards, shoes, forks, et fucking cetera.
The closest the world has ever gotten that I can think of are the 'woodie' surf wagons. That idea was ruined later though by 80s laminate on grocery getters.

People keep on trying it, and they can all fuck off.

Oh blue ribbon link. http://www.blueribbonrestaurants.com/rests_brass_man_main.htm
Oh, also while I am recommending the food darlings of yesteryear I should also point you at http://nymag.com/listings/restaurant/arturos/
somehow the coal oven makes the pizza good.

I stayed in soho like a hundred years ago. Two places that were good were Salt and Blue Ribbon.
Salt was the better of the two but has since closed after losing their lease. The chef renamed her smaller place http://www.thelmaonclinton.com/
Blue Ribbon still exists and has expanded to a bunch of other places. When I was there Pharrell and Chad Hugo were at the next table (I don't really think this is a positive, but I am also not sure it is still that kind of place.)
I feel a little like I am recommending the salad at the waldorf astoria and amazing combination of melon and prosciutto. I am sure there are more hip cooler spots, but I liked those two. Also melon and prosciutto are good.

A couple of amazon germany links. Moar waters and a jooky looking iphone mount that is hopefully rain resistant for this beautiful Berlin weather. The same model in us amazon reviews get rated high. In german it is all "not waterproof, will fall apart, shit sound from headphone jack". We shall see.

Quick soak (boil and then let hang out for an hour and then replace water), use distilled water if what you have is hard, put in a half teaspoon of baking soda (cheat move that isn't so good if you are eating them whole), and no salt and they should be done pretty quick.
But yeah, if you are doing a million other things, I can see how maybe this would fall by the wayside.
mm lebanese food. There is a spot near here with rad manaeesh, foul, and some other cooked yogurt and flatbread mix that is similar to foul. I think i am going to go there on thursday (Himmelfahrt holiday)

Yeah man it is the 60 centsedness of it that made it tonight's choice of beers. I'm currently on a budget of a few euros a day. Tannenzäpfle for real, but you can have the Flensburger. Except for popping the top, I have never found it to be enjoyable.
Potsdamer Stange (http://www.braumanufaktur.de/index.php/potsdamer-stange) OTOH is more to my taste and it has a pop top too.

Guyana, bruv... Don't tell auntie her rotis are from Trinidad, she'll cut your balls off...
Ah apologise to her for me. I didn't know.
You know how when your special lady/man friend is away you get to do all of the stuff he or she isn't so into?
My wife is out, leaving me to my own devices and

grilled sardines, butter grilled cheese sandwich, a Sternburg, and the Giro. #partyhard

Oh, *that *Budapest.
Well, there is always Budapest, GA. The fixed gear outlaws that bomb those mean streets are insane.

All of this hot roti talk has made me feel like I need to eat one. I think this place is the best I can hope for: http://www.yelp.com/biz/merles-trinidad-cuisine-berlin
I think it is more like a tenner but what are you going to do, you know?

I really miss Berlin. I would highly recommend the Havelchaussee if you fancy a diversion on the way back, it's a really nice ride.
Also, if you haven't already, take the train out to Brandenburg an der Havel and come back along the cycle path next to the Havel. It's wide, Tarmac but completely quiet and really beautiful. I've got the Strava route somewhere if you want the GPX, it's probably about 70 miles in all.
yeah man, thanks for the tips. A strava route would be rad. I have been trying to find nice rides but keep ending up in the forest on a dirt/grass/mud path.
-
What's your route? I used to love cycling out round Berlin. Never came across much of a hill though, unless it's the one near Glienicker Brücke heading back towards Grunewald.
Yep, that's the bit of a hill of which I speak. Its true though that things are as flat as a flat thing around here. Here is the strava of the route I took there and back, try not to be too intimidated by my intense average speed.

Fuck.. I went from being lazy to go to super looking forward to it, shuffling my stuff around so I could go etc. and now:
Sadly, the live show of PHARMAKON (and the »Kometenmelodien« event) at Kantine am Berghain—scheduled for May 27 2014—is cancelled due to a stolen passport and associated complications. Tickets can be returned at the individual box offices.
FUCK. OFF. WORLD.

If the diagram happens to be a sequence diagram, I can totally recommend websequencediagrams.com.
You write it out like so:
