Mine was the mag burner (same colours as pic) I begged my parents for night and day throughout 1984, if memory serves me right. I actually wanted a tuff burner (knew I had no chance of the super tuff burner so never even asked for that) but alas funds wouldn't stretch to that I was told. I was over the moon when I was ushered to the garage on xmas morning and the blanket was pulled off the mag burner that they had stored there for me... wipes away tear
I'm amazed how much they managed to have it look like it was made of lego

Thanks so much to the organisers and everyone for making my first forum ride so fun.
Special thanks for wools stopping and helping me change my inner tube on the way to brixton, don't think i would have got there on time otherwise.
Next time lower gearing, and i might not give up on ditchling after 2 minutes. -

Is it possible to distinguish to what extent being in the bus lane increases risk, and to what extent it is the smple fact that beng bale to go faster increases risk?
Probably not, the report also shows motorcyclists going much faster, which is likely to be a large part of the 33% increase in collisions. The decision to carry on the trial also came with the idea of trying to get motorcyclists to slow down while using the bus lane. I have seen no evidence that they have done this.

Hope you're OK DJ.
Something that pissed me off last night, one for Oliver to get on the case about.
Bascially a radio ad, on Talksport. The gist 'drivers, please check the bus lane and indicate before turnng left as motorcyclists ar now allowed to ride in bus lanes across much of London'.
NO NO NO NO NO.
Sorry, what about cyclists who already have the right to ride in bus lanes, and don't have the advantage of a fucking loud engine to get themselves heard? It's not some new fucking development that you should check a fucking bus lane before you swing a left. What about the fact that you should check and indicate whatever the fuck you are doing on the road even if you are on a motorway in the middle of the night and are 99% sure nothing is near you?
Coming from the same brains who decided to extend allowing motorcycles in the bus lane despite been shown to cause more accidents; im not surprised.

is £55.25, so if you want it cheaper go to Amazon, but as mentioned above Evans and Cycle Surgery will price match on British based web retailers, so Amazon doesn't count (it's based in Luxembourg), so that's your best bet, as you won't need to pay postage.
Glad the Evans i went to didnt realise this.

Get in touch with the organisers...a lot of festivals are trying to position themselves as eco friendly so they are likely to be open to the idea
Looked on the Bestival website, but its a multi coloured abomination which i couldn't find a contact email.
Searched a forum which says there are bike lock up points at the entrance of the park, so at least there will be some metal to attach my bike to if i'm not allowed it in with it.

So some random dude(s) wearing some sort of high-vis jacket and clipboard can 'attempt' to stop you for what ever fucking reason and issue a fine/demand payment for some pony ass infringment?
Open to abuse i'd say - humm bit skint 'dons high vis jacket - stops random peds/cyclist' spouts some random shite about safe cycling etc etc issues fine - or on the spot fine - frog marched to cash point - £10 up result!!!!
tenner seems a bit suspect, better make it thirty.

After reading some of this thread, i see the need to stop certain members flaming new people straight away, but banning for banter seems a bad thing.
How about making an actual 'Nursery' forum for new members to ask all the silly question we all probably asked when joining, those who enjoyed helping could go their to answer their questions and everyone else could ignore it.
If anyone was seriously rude there they could be banned from this sub-forum only.
