50 cm Carlton Corsa Frame
[strike]For beater or restoration project, the previous owner removed all the frame braze on's and resprayed it. The paint isn't in great condition so could do with a respray or ride as is. Comes with headset which could do with a re-grease and seat post. Would like £40 posted.[/strike] SOLD
Velo Orange Porteur Rack
[strike]Bought just over a year ago but hardly used. Brilliant rack but unfortunately don't have anything to do it justice. In good condition, missing one fixing bolt (which aren't all that great anyway) and an end plug from the rail which doesn't really notice anyway. Cost me £120 would like £75 posted.[/strike] **SOLD

[strike]Honey leather, good match for honey brooks parts. Not used for many miles so have plenty left in them. Would like £8 posted.[/strike]SOLD

Thanks, yeah thats my issue, i love the shape of the bars, but im not sure what lever they lend themselves well too.
Im getting the hang of riding without a traditional brake, though its a little un nerving at first.
A bar end lever would look good and some brown bar tape would definitely finish it off nicely. P.s. What stem is that?

1973 Bob Jackson Messina 55cm 531 f&f + shimano 600 arabesque + 600EX + Campagnolo Nuevo Tipo + Nitto Noodle & Dynamic9
Rolling on diamond encrusted 27s with a mostly NOS drivechain (Just butched a NOS DuraAce 7400 crankset for its loverly chainrings). Its not completely done yet, still have arabesque front mech & crank arms to find.
Will get some proper photos once its really done, its first proper run will be tomorrow on a 4-5day tour of the north. Just need to swap out the 90mm stem for a 70mm stem as its just a tad long (I R T-Rex) and the aweful charge bar tape will go once I get replacement noodles sorted as these ones got bent in the post.Never pedaled a road bike with toe overlap, t'is like lightening and a bit scary in the slower corners.
That's really lovely, would make a nice partner for my vigorelli ha ha ;)

Aspicer what length stem is that, looks about an 80 maybe? always love the spiral paint jobs that Jacksons do, does it have a special name? Loverly build though.
Just finished my BJ too, took it out for its first proper shakedown, freaking awesome rides like a new bike (mostly is) though realise I need a shorter stem only AFTER I've wrapped the bars.
Thanks a lot! Very close, it's a 90mm stem. I had a 70mm before and realised it was too short. Luckily before i wrapped the bars, re-wrappings a pain, but will be worth it for sure. I've only been out for a few miles but so far it fews really good, i'm excited to take it for a proper ride.

slowly gathering parts for my porteur (ignore the front wheel and paint). I wanted to mock it up to see what the wheel clearance was like. The front is a 700c with a 23c tyre and there is practically no clearance even though the frame (Carlton Corsa) is designed for a 27" wheel. I haven't got the wheels yet so what should I do, will 650B with 32 mm tyres work?

So you can see the attachment? It doesn't show up on my screen, was about to post a flickr link.
Unfortunately the other side was missing it's rivet and was split :( otherwise I might have reattached it. I've got a load of stuff that will need selling at some point so might throw it in there for free if anybody wants it but I doubt they will.
Any recommendations about how to go about DIY brass filling? Need to keep costs to a minimum and don't know where I'd get it filled in Oxford.
Give Mountain Mania a call (01235 759366) they're based in Didcot and deal with frame repairs so may be able to help you out.

Thats some top work, lovely!
So I've finished the Elswick Hopper after a few final tweaks. Unfortunately its too big for me but it was still a great project to do. I think my Dad will be taking this one off my hands!
http://www.lfgss.com/picture.php?albumid=1391&pictureid=9664The conversion is on the road after a few bits from 'santa' ahaha. I'm pretty happy with it except the paint job, that still needs some work. p.s the saddle angles sorted now.

If your talking about the rack it isn't gone? I had the same problem, just no where to do it justice.
