FYI - the Killing Me Soft Lea route looks to go right near Cheshunt station and the Lee Valley White Water Centre - Olympic venue.
I haven't looked in great detail, (I can't make it on Tuesday) but some of the route might be blocked for Spectator access from Cheshunt Station to LVWWC.
Not sure if it's in session when you'll be riding, or if there are parts fo the bike route closed, but might want to check the route against the travel map.

Just a heads up.

I was going to suggest Saturday Aug 18 as I have a friend in town and I think we'll be riding down there anyway, but it's not on the poll....
just an FYI - you probably won't be able to get a train back with bikes during the Olympics or Paralympics. July 27 - Aug 12, and Aug 29 - Sept 9. On Southern it sounds like the entire time from July 27 - Sept 9.
*From Southeastern's website:*
During the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games; Friday 27 July to Sunday 12 August and Wednesday 29 August to Sunday 9 September, we expect many of our services to be much busier.
**So during the London 2012 Games only compact folded cycles (e.g. folded Bromptons) can be carried on our services into and out of London at all times. Conventional (non-folding) cycles may not be carried.**The cycle policy also applies to joint Southeastern and First Capital Connect services operating south of London Blackfriars (between London and Kent). This temporary restriction will be lifted once the Games period finishes.
*From **Southern's *website:
During the London 2012 Games, we are expecting our trains to be even busier than usual. We will welcome fully folded (Brompton style) bikes on our trains at any time, however, in addition to the usual peak time restrictions we have in place further restrictions will apply throughout the period 27 July to 9 September.
Non fully folded bikes will not be allowed on any Southern or Gatwick Express train on the following routes:- Any Gatwick Express service
- Mainline services between London Bridge/London Victoria and Gatwick (including via Redhill)
- Metro routes
- West London Route between Watford Junction and East Croydon
**Southern Cycle Policy during the Olympic Road Cycle Race
**The Olympic Road Cycle Race event will take place on July 28th and 29th. From start of service on 28th July to close of service on 29th July, non fully folding bikes will not be permitted on trains between London Bridge/London Victoria and Box Hill & Westhumble on routes via Mitcham Junction, West Croydon, Sutton, Epsom and Horsham. - Any Gatwick Express service

I'll do that.
I really like the idea of getting miles in after work, and this could be ideal, as long as it's not planned to be a speedfest.
If there is a speedfest, I definitely won't be part of it, so you're welcome to join me at the back! I will be on gears as my knees don't like more than 30km at a time fixed.

Can anyone recommend somewhere near Earl's Court to watch the track cycling onTuesday? Pub or somewhere else that will definitely be showing it? We've got tickets to the Volleyball at seven but want to watch the track first.
