Selling this Bianch CX gravel bike. I bought it at the start of the year and have barely ridden it. I’ve done a whopping 71miles on it.
The Frameset is 55cm made from Easton Alu with Ritchey carbon forks.
Thomson 100mm stem
Shimano 105 11 speed setup for 1x11, the shifters are double. I can include the matching shimano 105 front derailleur.Mavic Open Pros on red hope RS mono wheels with practically new gravel kings 32mm.
I have a new matching Tektro rear canti brake to match the front, just never bother fitting it.
The cranks is are a little bruised, bottom bracket could do with some new bearings.
Note:- Hope Skewers not included
I am based inbetween Glastonbury and Yeovil, TA11 (Keinton Mandeville).

Did a small road trip camping weekend with my bro. We decided to explore Wiltshire as it is halfway house between us, plus it’s a place you tend to drive around/through than explore.

SalisburyThe car performed really well and was good fun to give it a good drive. The past year or so I noticed the Boxster gets a bit hot unless you’re moving, I decided to check the coolant level and once topped up I noticed the temp was more stable.

It’s definitely quieter with the hardtop, I’ve always driven generally with the roof up and windows down, and I don’t feel like I am missing out with the hardtop with the windows down.
Interesting though about the weight, it’s must weigh around 30-40kg I reckon. It didn’t feel that heavy when installing, but there was 2 of us.
I have a counter that I could do, and that’s to remove the roof entirely, just not sure if that’s a sensible idea.
-
Yes mine was the plastic window, couldn’t see out of it as it was so cloudy.
I collected the hardtop today, I am thankful I sourced one local to me. During the week I tried to remove the mounts and bolts from the sellers car, no chance.
£108 later and a trip to OPC Bristol resulted in these absolute rip off fixings.
I’m very pleased with the hardtop, most of my annoying rattles have disappeared and it looks so much better.

The bugger is fixed. The clamshell is aligned and I’ve put the roof into manual mode (disconnected) ready for the hardtop.
The procedure wasn’t too bad, once I got my head around it all. Fit new motor cable, refit the passenger side hinge for the clamshell.
Test everything is working ie; is the clamshell even on both sides and moving up and down. If not, unplug one of the motor cables, and use a drill attached to the cable to realign one side, using a measurement from a reference point.
-
The culprit has been caught, snapped motor cable. All I had to do was pop the cable off and check, instead I’ve take everything apart, and got the 2 side transmission motors out of sync.
New cable ordered from Design911. I’ve also sourced a hardtop 10mins down the road. Once the clamshell is operational again, I can install the hardtop.

All was going so well, managed to get out every evening after work last week for some Somerset B-Road blasts.
Second image will show the passenger side is down, and drivers side is normal.
No idea how, the roof decided to stop working. Specifically the passenger side would lift at all, and now it’s twisted.
It was stuck in the down position, I removed the roof linkage ball joints, these were not broken, but are original. These were a bastard to get off. I really struggled getting the hood cowl linkage ball joints off, and was left with no option but to remove the hood cowl.
Once I’ve got a larger pry bar, and removed the cowl linkage, I can remove the transmission units and inspect. I suspect a worn gear.
My plan it actually remove the roof and get a hardtop, that has always been the plan, as I am not actually a fan of these style roofs. I’ve always used it with the roof up.

Potential fixed the intermittent starting issues. Ignition switches are a common failure and are cheap as chips. It can cause a host of key related issues or electrical issues. I was experiencing the latter.
Working on these Boxster is not great, fiddling job but well worth it. So far so good, the key is also turning a lot more freely and it’s starting on the button.
I’ve started the door cards, to keep the labour costs down with the upholster, I’ve chosen to remove the existing carpet myself.
I’ll be interested if you can post?
