That's the real world benefit. Or you can get into the debate of what's better...oil moving and not drying out with a watch on a winder or the benefit of less mechanical wear having your watches stopped in a drawer. But that's never a discussion that ends well.
Personally, the only time I'd ever get a winder is if I had a non-quickset perpetual calendar. Then it's pretty important.

I'd have never thought it, but I have a major boner for the new black/rose gold Yachtmaster.
I honestly think my interest in watches brings me more frustration than pleasure. It's weird, I have lots of expensive interests - bikes, cars, motorbikes, guitars, hi-fi, cameras. All of those have gear and stuff that's just as desirable and just as out of reach as expensive watches, but not being able to buy them doesn't nearly bug me like it does with watches.

Tester approved solution for knackered EBBs?
I have a frame with EBB secured with two bolts through the bottom of the shell (Haro Mary) which has a siezed/drilled out/knackered bolt hole and creaks and works loose with only the one remaining bolt being used.
Wedge or other type EBB, new frame, somewhere easy to find (no frame builders near me) that could tap the knackered threads (I've tried, but as always when I try and tap something, the material seems stronger than my taps and I get half a thread in and then rather than cut further it just rips out the new thread). With a cromo frame, could I grind off the bolt tube thing, drill a hole and MIG weld on a nut and use a regular bolt?

The new one has just come out at the same price (maybe £50 more). Virtually the same, but many more lines of text on the dial, slightly different date window/3 marker and is also available in blue, but most importantly has an in-house movement rather than the ETA.
If you like the new one, hang on and buy that. If you prefer the 2-line of text one, then you should be able to get discounts on the old model or good deals on second hand as people will soon all be after the in-house one. Either way, don't be paying current dealer prices for the outgoing model.

As in I'd have bought it.
But I just had 90 minutes of mind bending too-ing and fro-ing and in the end decided that I really have no need for it at all and as much as a bargain as a £300 Swiss Cross frame is, I'd still have to build it up nicely and £1500 for a Swiss Cross to hang unridden in the garage isn't such a bargain.

I think the most ingenious thing about this video is zip-equipped duvet covers!
I have 14 foot long arms so can faux-ghost method a cover without having to get inside and it takes me probably less time than she spent using the roll method, but then I usually spend as much time again fannying on with press studs, buttons or god fobid, buttons on a turned back flap thing that hides the buttons, but means you need to do them up back to front.

Maybe it was. I read the wiki on him when looking for info, but I was sure the story I remember was of someone being 'rescued' for want of a better word from a life of poverty and academic waste and being brought over, as a child, to the west where he stayed.
Reading through the wiki list of child prodigies just blows my (tiny, pathetic) mind.
