I am abandoning selle Italia women's saddles. This Diva Gel flow thing is an instrument of torture and misery. Given that my commute is a mere 5 miles and an hour later I can still feel it in the nether regions, it has to go. And before the DunRun. I did 60 miles on it the other week and had to use chamois cream to wear knickers the next day. No amount of tilting has made any difference.
Anyone got a charge spoon knocking around I can borrow or buy?!I'm going to have a hunt around and see if there are other makes with a similar shape to the spoon. That has been my most comfortable saddle to date, but still not perfect.
So disheartening. I have a lovely bike that I wasn't too get out and ride, but every ride is torture

Did a lovely ride from hackney to Cambridge yesterday despite all the morning drizzle and getting filthy muddy from the section by the canal up to Epping and coming off the bike at Waltham Abbey and absolutely beasting my knee. Stumbled across the Women's Tour at Much Hadham so took a nice long break at a pub and cheered on the ladies as they flew past. The ride from that part on was beautiful.
Knee is ruined today though, so hopefully it'll be better for next weekend's ride. -

Turns out my lovely Woodrup was way too small so it has had to go.
I'm now on the look out either for a frame and forks I can shove an 8/9speed groupset on, or a full bike. 53cm, 54 max. horizontal top tube preferred.
Around the 200 mark for frame and forks - would go higher if I loved it and it warranted it.
Anyone got anything?Thanks!

Liberty have some nice timeless pieces at a range of prices (I don't work there)
Alex Monroe does lovely things .. liberty have a few of them
Don't buy any jewelry from etsy or notonthehighstreet.. quality is unreliable but usually crap.
Without knowing her style it's difficult to suggest any particular designer or shop. There are a few smaller boutiquey shops in Covent garden that have some lovely things.. not totally whacky but not like everything else. -

Boyfriend's bike was stolen from the 2nd floor hallway today in Bethnal Green.
Black. Cannondale bad boy XL - few years old but not used a whole lot so components didn't have much wear. No distinguishing marks in any way.Not posting because we think there's any chance of getting it back - it was way too small for him anyway and he rarely used it. However - if anyone is passing through Brick Lane on Sunday and spots one fitting that kind of bill I'd appreciate a heads up.
Perhaps more so I can go and confront them and ask them what was so bad about mine they chose that one instead.
Really just posting to remind people that hallways in private blocks, no matter how small, are simply not secure so keep your steeds inside and don't let the chancers get their filthy scummy crappy mitts on your stuff. C*nts.

Well, here is a very long shot but always worth asking right?
Against my better judgment I have agreed to help produce a short film. This would be fine except the budget is essentially £0
Does anyone have or know anyone that could help with getting hold of a cine camera for a weekend shoot end Aug/beg Sept. Something along the lines of a Canon C300 or Arri Alexa
Equipment houses I've been in touch with are coming back with rather high quotes.
Obviously we would be fully insured and take incredibly good care of it.
Also looking for accompanying equipment although boom mike, radio mikes and tripod are probably sorted.
1 x Set 15mm bars
1 x Aaton-based Hand-hold rig (as per Aimimage)
1 x Angenieux 15-40mm Optimo zoom
1 x Angenieux 45-120mm Optimo zoom
1 x Set IRND filters 0.3 - 2.1
1 x Pola
1 x O’Connor Fluid head (150mm bowl)
1 x 3-stage medium gauge tripod
1 x Saddle bag
1 x Hi-Hat
1 x Key West dolly & track (approx 40’)
Now I've typed it up I'm regretting my choice
Any help greatly appreciated;equipment, contacts, anything..
Beer a given. You can be an extra (oooooh)
