I do a short 10mile round trip commute to work and have been lugging panniers for some time now.......
Today i put on a shoulder bag and stuffed my goods in and off i went. I went like the wind.....ie no trunk bag and rack and the bike felt really light.

The thing is most riders say i'll get sick of it and end up going back to panniers. Any thoughts on this??? before i go out and buy a proper bag with waist strap and all.
