I’m after some hub advice please.
I’ve ordered some carbon rims from Light Bicycle which I’ll be looking to build up.
First are a pair of 24h/55mm rim brake rims.
These will be a second set of wheels (my every days are XR31’s to DA 9000 road hubs) and for dry miles only. I’d normally go for Hope RS4, but as these won’t be used all the time and never in bad weather, I’m thinking of saving some money and going for something like Bitex. Any first hand experience of these or recommendations for something at a similar price point?Secondly is a disc version of the same rim that will be built onto a fixed hub. Again 24h. The only slight complication is that I’ll run this rear with the front discussed above, so in a dream world this fixed hub would be from the same manufacturer and look similar to the front too.
Hope that makes sense and thanks in advance.

New to carbon rims and could do with some advice please.
First up, I want to build a wheel set for my rim brake road bike and after looking at the LB range these are what stood out -
FALCON rim R55 Road/CX
Grooved Graphine Surface
24h Front, 28h RearAny reason why not? Or is there a better option?
Secondly, I need to build a fixed rear wheel and was looking at this rim -
FALCON rim R55 disc Road/CX
28hAgain, anything better I should be looking at?
Thanks.

This thread popping up again has reminded me to post proof that this incredible workshop had been put to good use. I asked @Hovis to make me a coffee table out of walnut and to say I’m pleased with the result is an understatement.
Please excuse the phone pics, but I’ve not had time to photograph it properly.

I don’t ride fixed regularly any more, but when I did (and whenever I do now) I replicate exactly the same fit as I ride on my road bike. Saddle position relative to bottom bracket, saddle nose to bars and saddle to bar drop.
If you have a fit that works for you, there’s no reason to change it depending on whether you are riding geared or not.

I'm returning to the world of fixed, having just picked up a Ti Burls frame.
I need some advice/recommendations on crankset if possible. The BB shell is BSA68 I believe and currently holds a Shimano RS500 BB. When I last had a fixed I ran Sugino 75's and had no issues with them, but wondering what else I should be looking at. Price is a factor here as realistically this isn't going to be my main ride, but I want a crankset that is well made, ideally silver and if compatible with hollow tech BB's that would be a bonus.
Cheers
