Vodafone U turn on swapping out the phone - the Desire's are "repair only" (!?) they don't have any spare ones to swap out so if I want it fixed it'll be a week.... when y'day I was told that it wouldn't be a problem. Very unpleasant woman on the phone.

• update * Tried a factory reset as a last ditch attempt.... no improvement, and none of my 'settings' available on the SD card - despite me following the instructions (makes a change I know). So my Desire has just started going boringly wobbly. Won't connect to the network unless it wants to, drops calls, divert all call to voicemail unless it wants to.... Vodafone just shrug their shoulders and reckon they should exchange the phone for me! Hey Ho.
