Can I respectfully propose that we all move along now, as there's nothing new to see; the thread is in danger of turning into the M25... one huge loop.... again.
Having now added my tuppence worth, I shall return to basting my rather tasty looking corn-fed chicken....
** puts everything with the words Danni, Foffa, Create and Unipack on ignore **
p.s. Nowt personal Mr Foffa, never met you, just bored with all this, and roasting chicken's is a better use of my evening :-)

What was also telling is when the other oil companies are asked about this you just watch them shuffling their feet, and looking at their shoes..... muttering.... 'their but for the Grace of God etc.'.
BP will suffer disproportionally for what happened on their watch....
However that, as they say, is life.

Send a VERY short email to tony.halmos@cityoflondon.gov.uk
Tony Halmos is the Corporation's Director of Communications.... and a senior member of the CIPR profession in the UK, so he should take the importance of these things extra seriously.....
Say...
you're very disappointed at the approach taken by the Corporation when it is trying to be so cycle friendly
in the first instance could he look into this....
draw his attention via a link to this thread, and the increasing influence LFGSS is having in London as he'll find surfing the site....
and then could he suggest how this could be 'resolved'.... perhaps a meeting between leading-hipster-lights, and someone from the Planning or Policy unit.
He should also be able to tell you who the local 'Alderman' is for that site, and their email addresses (if you can't find it from the CoL web site)
Then email the local 'Alderman' - send him a copy of your correspondence with Tony Halmos.
Alderman are the most senior the local community officials. From these across the City comes the Lord Mayor of the City of London.
The CoL is a local authority, but it is a bit special. As citizens you/we have every right to engage with those who are elected in the area to serve not just those who live their, but also those that pass through.
Good luck, and of course, post their replies on here.
If you don't get a reply from Mr Halmos with 48 hours, then post that here too....

Can we have confirmation from the Judges if it is a requirement that the apple is covered by the pastry/crumble to assume eligability?
I'm suggesting Tartin's don't deserve equal billing as, frankly, the fruit is only half covered, so only half the work.
This needs to be the 'full monty' pie/crumble - no fancy French nonsense sneaking in from Mainland Europe.

Discussed this with my Mum (aged 78) who is staying with me at moment, and she says (per earlier postings) that she's not prepared to 'assist'.... she wants to enter in her own right!
As she's not, to be honest, a fixie/ss rider in town these days, will an exception be made for 'ladies of a certain age', or will she be expected to demonstrate fixie skidding, or running a red light, before delivering her pie?
Please advise.
p.s. her entry will be an unsupported, plate based, apple pie: no crumble, no fancy, new fangled nonsense.... bring it on!

Went y'day - had valuable advice, lovely cup of coffee, met the dog (sooooo sooooo soooooo in love with the dog), was given three numbers that will make a real difference to the confidence with which I buy my next bike, set up my next bike and hence enjoy my next bike. All for a pony.
Result - and recommended.

Good point re: team effort with Mum's... mine does the greatest pastry ever, in the whole history of the Universe (she say's it's down to having cold hands)... yet doesn't ride a bike any more... would a joint Bagheera/Bagheera's Mum entry be acceptable to the judges?
She's 78 and has significantly more street cred than I do!
