BB7s are not shite. BB7s are incredible if, and I'll admit it's a big if, you apply patience and set them up properly.
Very powerful, easy to adjust, easy to maintain. My set have never felt close to being underpowered, even fully loaded steel touring bike down the big hills.

The beach volleyball looks so cool in front of the Eiffel tower, the horses amazing in front of the place etc, I'm sure they are allowed to have a less vibrant skateboard park.

+1 on that, excellent bags. Easy to open on the go, and sit in a nice position on the bars.
I asked for a custom one with an elasticated pocket on the top as I think thatd be a great improvement for quickly slotting stuff like a phone, or bananas etc, but no joy.

It's not just you, last time I got a puncture and stupidly didn't have repair stuff, on a main commuter path about 50 people rode passed before someone stopped, who gave me a tube. I got to repay the favour to somone else recently who's pump had broken.
I don't think it's just cycling, people just generally seem less likely to help people. More likely to film you struggling for tiktok likes.

PO41, Yarmouth
Lost Mill or Comicoffee, Cowes
Artisan Coffee, East Cowes
Lagom or Hotbox Bakery, Bembridge
Peddlers, Newchurch
Ventnor Exchange, Ventnor (or if it's a Saturday you may be lucky with Ingrams Yard market, but you'll have to descend into Ventnor to get refreshments there and it's a long way back up so would never be my first choice)
M+J's cafe, or the Post Office, Niton (the latter does pizza and from what I've heard it's amazing)
The Bike Box at Afton Down just before Freshwater Bay, one of the best places to get coffee from on the whole island
Beer bus, Wightwood Pizza in Freshwater Bay
Piano Cafe in Freshwater Bay--

On hydro brakes, does anyone have a good guide for swapping over hydro calipers? I've never actually swapped some over before, and want to swap flat mount for post mount.
