Just followed a cop car doing about 30 in a 20 continually weaving over the speed bumps along with the van in front. I see this shit everyday and my road is a fucking nightmare because of the way people aim there cars over or through the gaps. Turning into my dad moment i pulled up along side him at the end of the road where everyone ends up having to wait and asked "are you supposed to do that?". "Do what" he asked. "Are you suppose to weave over the speed bumps so you don't have to cut your speed?". His response - "but there's bumps in the road?". He then said "i don't understand?" to which all i could say was "clearly".
Drive at 20 in a 20 and there's no impact on pollution due to heavy breaking and accelerating, your car won't explode when it goes over the bumps (mine hasn't), you'll have less time to wait at the end of the road/junction and you won't look like such a stupid inconsiderate cunt.

Nice project, great starting point. I've built a few bikes for my partner who's a short arse with t-rex arms. Couple things to consider, relatively low stack height of trad steel frames, as ugly as they are i'd suggest an adjustable stem so she can find a comfortable position before settling on something permanent. Toe overlap can be a problem on small frames but being geared less so than fixed. 23c tyres? Why not the fattest you can get on there (GF currently loving her 28c Gravelkings)?

Did you decide on colour yet?
If you do think about pebble grey (my preference) i'd really recommend white graphics. I had my girlfriends Fratello painted in a light grey and i wanted black graphics to match the components. Luckily i was talked into white and it looks so much better then black would of, really brings the paint to life. Anywho, just my opinion, rad projects as always.

@BernardRenault thanks dude, it's gonna get a full strip rebuild now as it took some abuse overseas, i have a few bits that'll hopefully improve it further.
@Gaston it's a Centaur post i believe but the etched logo has all but worn off so i can't be sure. It's a lovely ti grey colour with a polished clamp section, very understated but much nicer than fully polished IMO.

We averaged roughly 60 miles a day and i'd approx i was carrying 10 kilos of stuff. The bike was great, very thankful i was able to get 28's on (running at 60psi no problems even with gear), a 12-32 might of been nice someday's but gearing was never an issue. Wonderboom speaker was a good bit of kit for tiring/boring sections!

Great project, i'm loving the functional and aesthetic development. As someone looking for a more versatile road bike i'm interested to know if you've chucked on some road tyres and done many road miles on it? Looks like it would be equally capable on or off road. Also do you feel the Avid's are a step down in performance in comparison to discs?
Thanks dude, also need a 26.0,
