Not particularly! Normal size, I'd say.

That sounds rubbish. Not had any that bad, but have had a couple of plastic ones snap which is no good :(
Yep there's a bit of flex to them, they sometimes get a tiny bit of a ripple across the peak but they fold up/down fine and stay where you put them. I think I remember Walz saying the flex stopped them from snapping, or from digging in to your heard when pointed up.
You can kinda bend them around bulky helments if you like to wear your peak up a lot.

That looks decent, cheers man!
@rhb couldn't travel that light if my life depended on it, but it looks nice!

That is excellent. The name's great too - puts it in the right context straight away. Cycling's supposed to be fun ey?
ALSO I was wondering if anyone can recommend a relatively cheap axle-mount porteur-style rack. Doing a quick 2 day tour round Holland in a few weeks and can't be fucked with a backpack. However something I could strap the backpack to would be ideal!
Soma/Freshtrip style porteur rack is wwayyyyyy out of my price range :(

I like the pro team socks, though they went very grey when accidentally washed with some darks.
The purple in the city collection is kinda cool, the jeans, on the other hand....

@well_is_it Thanks man! Wish I could say they came out of the camera like that, but I'm getting closer to exposing things the way I want to :)
@Tychom That's lovely.

Thanks!

Eck. I feel very clumsy and very much out of practice. Camera did better than I, and I've still got lots to learn about it - its metering performances, getting used to the viewfinder, etc...
Anyway, went to 6music festival and drank more than is wise to drink on a Sunday night. Only a very few unremarkable/passable photos from the night. British Sea Power were class, and should have headlined. Neneh Cherry did not play Buffalo Stance.

I bought an x100s this week. Haven't used it properly yet, but the build quality and overall "feel" is mighty impressive, even if I do already have a control-related gripe, which is the need to move a hand to change metering mode. Kinda feel like it should really, really be available on the Function button as opposed to some of the useless (for me) stuff that is on that little menu... Unless I've missed something?
I am obviously in the midst of that new camera (or new anything) clumsiness though!
Should be using it quite a over the weekend, so will report back with some shots soon :)

Great, cheers for the info!
I've got Cane Creek levers which I think might be similar to your old Tektro jobbies.
We do indeed have the same guards, so I reckon everything should fit fine :)Here's a pic from last year, only changes have been Rubino Pro 35s, and the bottom 6 inches of front mudguard are missing. No idea where they went, or when (when I discovered the damage I hadn't seen the bike in daylight for about 2 months), but I assume I kicked it once too often. Need to make some kind of makeshift mudflap!

-
That looks very similar to my current setup, with similar reasoning behind it too!
D'you mind if I ask what your brake/lever combo is? Are they Mini-Vs?
I think we have the same mudguards, and I want to change to minis because Canti's are basically joke brakes, but I wasn't sure about clearance with mudguards

A contender for the classiest pomp in history, and shaping up really nicely!
