Unbind from AD and then binding to AD fixed my issue
Few Pointers

Bind & Unbind from Directory Utility not from the Users Group > Network Account Server > Edit
It's the same screenshot as shown above in the question
We also updated the Prfer this Domain Server to a new server instead of domain.com it was a specific server name

Trying to change my password and not having much luck!

I'm using an iMac, using El Capitan 10.11.6 and I've gone into the 'user & groups' systems prefs, I type in my existing password and the replacement one - but get the following message...

The password for the account “XX” was not changed.
The server is not available. Change your password when the server becomes available.

Any ideas please?

This was an Uncle's bike and considering it's been sat for 20 years it’s in reasonable condition, everything works, but could do with a service along with new tyres and brakes. It looks to have it’s original Selle Royal pullman saddle, bar tape and Sachs Huret front & rear mech.

So I need a Thunderbolt cable rather than a mini display port cable?

It's a 2011 iMac with two mini display ports (tried both).

Is there anything in System preferences I need to look at?

Trying to connect my 13" retina to an iMac - I'd like to use the iMac as a larger screen for the laptop (the iMac is on loan while I find a replacement screen).
I've tried using a Mini display port cable and switching the display by using combinations of the Command/Function/F2 but nothing seems to work.
What am I doing wrong?
