Dear all
We have a drawer full of second hand stems, handlebars and a variety of other items. Some items are new or virtually new - but too numerous to mention. If anyone would like to come & rootle through my drawers they can happily take stuff away gratis . . .
Just give us a call before you come to check we are in (020) 8998 7271. Please don't call & ask if we have an 88mm stem with a 10 degree angle etc. . . - if we could be bothered to sort through the drawer, we would have done it by now! Just come & have a rootle!!

Oh bugger - I will still be in Devon, so I'm out. Mind you, if Clefty's navigation is really as bad as mine & you guys find yourselves near Barnstaple - then do pop in for tea . . .
Seriously - disappointed.
Might anyone be up for a very short camping trip at any time? Someone was mentioning that there was a campsite on an island in the Thames . . . I don't have any equipment - but it would be a darn good excuse to buy some. Maybe if anyone knows someone w/ a large field a bit out of town where we could have a fire that would be good. I am sooooo keen to buy a small piece of woodland for just such an excursion, but funds won't permit right now.

Oh no. Also being vertically challenged I know how difficult it is to get bikes to fit. I will vote for whichever party brings in capital punishment for bike thieves. I would like them to hang from the lampost nearest the last bike they stole. Should put some thieves off (like farmers hanging dead crows on fences . . . ) When I lived in NY a bike thief was u-locked by his neck to a lampost & had the words 'bike thief' written on his forehead - don't know what happened to him but I'm sure it wasn't pretty . . .
Will really keep my eye out - don't those dozy thieves realise how small the market is for this bike (literally!!)

Will depend a bit on the date & a bit on how lazy I am meantime. Maybe having this ride in the diary will galvanize me into actionl. Will be geared (& probably not enough of them) I'm afraid - will only involve a saddle if I can sit down anytime soon!! Really like the spirit of all of this - very happy w/ going slow (will defo come back by train!)
Would really fancy a ladies drink once a month - anyone suggest a day of the week?

First ride out w/ LFGSS. Scherrit said it was a very friendly bunch - but wow! Such a nice friendly welcome - everyone Many thanks to the kind marshals who risked life & limb (or at least being hooted at) to keep us all safe. It was a great route - but bum & 'other parts' a little the worse for wear. Serve me right for not getting out on my bike more!!
For anyone who is lurking here & is worried about coming along to an event (eg; I haven't got a fixed wheel bike, I'm a bit shy, I don't know anyone) - my advice is to come. I can honestly say I have never met such a friendly non-cliquey group. Plus, if we all chip in for some clipless pedals for Jenne - the entertainment will be priceless . . .

Another newbie here - better get off my large & comfy a**e & build my bike . . .

Try Paul Components (from FreshTripe) - good, but expensive!
