I'd like to find a home for 2 sets of storage drawers. I bought them when I was living in New York - but don't need them any more. The frames are silver aluminium colour & they are very lightweight & on casters. The drawers are translucent white. They are in very good condition
The tall drawers are about 1.5m tall and have 5 deep drawers. The shorter one is about 1m tall and has shallow drawers that are a bit larger than A4. They would be really good for storage in an office - or even for underwear.
Just please be sure you do want them & are prepared to collect them before next Thursday.
Collection is from North Ealing (sorry, no pictures or I would have put them on ebay)

Dear All
Having sat on a load of stuff for most of the year trying to get round to ebaying it - I have given up. So much for new year's resolutions.
The following is still available:
2. New pair 700c road wheels - 32 hole. Shimano Tiagra hubs with Mach 1 rims. Hubs, spokes & rims in silver. Includes Shimano skewers. £65
5. 4 x 26" rims - new - for disc brakes. Matt black Quad Cross Country Mamba - 32 hole. Free to good home
**6. 26" rear wheel 32 hole - very good condition. Shimano hub w/ Araya rim. Hub, spokes & rim are silver. £15
**9. Ceiling light - almost new. 4 halogen lamps with glass shades on a stainless steel arm. The light raises and lowers for more or less atmosphere (or headroom) - free to good home
But this is gone:
GONE (Moog) Folding bike stand (for mechanicing). Doesn't take up much room, good condition. £10
GONE (Plastic Pedals) Pair 700c road wheels - 24 spokes rear, 20 spoke front. Shimano WH-R500 rims (almost new) - and Shimano WH-R500 hubs. Rim, spokes & hubs in black. Includes 10 speed Shimano hub (12-25 I think) & rim tape - but no skewers. £35
GONE Car rack - fits 2 bikes - mounts on towing hitch. Good condition - includes space for number plate and full lighting board. £20
GONE (Moog - yes, it takes 26" mtb tyres - just give us a call when you are back - 020 8998 7271) 26" front wheel - 36 hole. For disc brakes - really smooth Mission hub - can't see a brand on the rim. Rim, spokes & hub are black. Includes skewer. £15
GONE (Tenderloin - just give us a call when you are back - 020 8998 7271) 3 Dect digital phones (ie; 1 base unit plus 2 other phones - all need to go together) - free to good (or not so good) home
GONE 2 x outdoor flood lights - stainless steel with sensors. In working order. Free to good home.
Sorry no pictures (if I could be bothered to - I would have put these items on ebay). Collection only from North Ealing. We are around all week. In the event of a tie - preference will be given to those who can collect first!!

Part of my clear-out has revealed my lightly used bike rack. It's a couple of years old & in excellent condition. Sorry, I don't know what brand it is - but I bought it from the Roof Box Company.
It mounts on the tow hitch of the car - you just drop it on, apply the clamp and that's it. Very secure and easy to fit. If you need access to the boot, the entire rack and bikes tilt out of the way. The rack will hold 2 bikes - you can carry pretty much any bike on it - it doesn't need to have a crossbar, and it doesn't matter if it's huge or tiny as the bikes rest on the wheels and the cups slide in & out to accommodate different sizes.
The rack has full lights and has a mount for the number plate of your car - so it's legal throughout europe.
We only replaced it because we needed a rack that took more bikes.
£55 (sorry, too lazy to take pictures and ebay it). Collection is North Ealing.

I'm having another clear out, and have found a really nice compact mechanics stand (in pale green) which I'm not using. It's very lightweight (say a couple of kilos) and folds down very small - will easily fit under a bed, or in the back of your car. It has a tray to hold small tools & bits.
The way it works is that you take the front wheel off & it holds the bike by the forks and cradles it under the bottom bracket - raising the bike up to the right height to work on.
It's pretty stable, and much better than leaning your bike against the sofa/wall when you want to work on it.
£15 - sorry no pictures (too lazy to ebay it) - collection is North Ealing.

2 Fausto Coppi frames. Both are blue & black with black forks.
One is 60cm, the other is 58cm.
The frames are aluminium (7005) and are in good condition. The bikes both have cranksets w/ double chainrings, saddles, pedals, handlebars, sti shifters and derailleurs - some of which may be useable - some not. Both bikes have a rear wheel only (but the braking surface looks virtually unused) with an 8 speed cassette and QR.
Neither bike has wheels - but takes 700c.
They could either be patched up and used as a station/beater bike - or could be built up into a nice road bike if the parts were re-conditioned or replaced.
£25 each. Collection only - Ealing.

Fantastic ride - beautifully organised (no wonder it took 6 hours to recce . . .) So glad you got on the train at last. Thanks so much everyone for a really great day!
Bottom quite sore today - must get out on my bike more. Was wondering if we shouldn't have a string where we embed gps routes for all our rides, then if just a couple of people want to go at short notice, there would be a fantastic ride for them to pick? Mind you - I am probably volunteering work for someone else as my ride goes from home.
Have thought of an easier way to do it - if we upload the rides to Garmin Connect, then we can include a link on here and people can just download it (although they probably need to have a login to Garmin) - then we can include a quick description of the ride to help people choose.

Hmm - don't want you fusing your f-key . . . Was is jealousy, disapproval or what???
The funny thing is that ebay manages to unite buyers & sellers from across the globe - but the Zipps came from less than 2 miles away!!
Mind you - although I have polished them, I haven't used them yet (waiting to find/afford a 20 spoke PowerTap hub)

Hi there
Yes - it's not that easy being diddy (am I one of the diddy women?? - showing my age now - for anyone who remembers Ken Dodd - who is apparently nearly 90 years old!!!)
But here's what I have found so far.
If you are small (under 5' 3") then you really do need a bike w/ 650c wheels. Otherwise it's extremely difficult to get a bike with a short enough reach AND no geometry compromises WITHOUT toe clip overlap. The sort of compromises frame-builders often make to create a short reach bike with 700c wheels are to steepen the seat-tube (this doesn't really work as your bum needs to be where it needs to be relative to the bottom bracket, so you just have to slide the saddle waaaaay back), and they also often slacken the head tube which makes the bike steer very lazily. The bike will usually have quite a lot of toe-clip overlap (where your foot overlaps the front wheel - mainly a problem when turning at low speed). Plus the bike looks a bit out of proportion.
Unfortunately bikes w/ 650c wheels are difficult to find - all the main ones have been mentioned I think.
Handlebars - I have tried a huge variety of bars - most of the women's ones. And the ones I find the best are the short & shallow variety - for example the FSA compact. They have a short reach, and a shallow drop - but are also shaped so the lever remains fairly close to your hands.
Reach on levers - you can get a wide variety of shims which fit Shimano levers (but they won't fit Sora - the one w/ the little ear sticking out). I have an entire drawer full - so if you want to see if I have some, give me a call & bring your bike over. Campag levers aren't adjustable for reach, and some Sram levers are very adjustable.
Cranks - Shimano only goes as short as 165mm. I use a TA crankset which is 160mm. It looks very pretty, but I don't think the rings shift quite as well as Shimano.
It's always worth having a look out on ebay for bikes & wheels (my mouse slipped & I managed to buy some Zipps the other day . . .) - for example - here's a really small bike on ebay right now. I don't think it will sell at the price it's at - but it has an effective/horizontal top tube of 48cm - so would fit me (at just over 5') - and probably down to 4'10" - this is about the shortest bike you will find without 24" wheels.
(sorry - too stoopid to figure out how to post a link properly . . .)

Wanted - Creative type with Wordpress Skillz
The bike whisperer is looking for a creative type who can implement our new brand sensitively but has enough mad interweb skills to be able to re-skin and manipulate an existing Wordpress theme to fulfill our criteria and incorporate the new brand elements.
Phase 1
that would be sitting down with me, Corinne, and finding the most appropriate WP theme to fulfill our criteria regarding content and aesthetics (promise I will make you unlimited amounts of coffee etc,.).
Phase 2
creating a modified WP theme based on phase 1
Phase 3
After WP design has been agreed then a few hours tutorial to show me how to use it correctly so that I can keep it updated
What's in it for me you say… Well, ask & you shall receive. We can swap a full bike fitting, bike work, cold hard cash or bike parts. Let's have a chat about it.
Send me a pm if you like the sound of this.

I used to quite like my Jett - I even went to the States to get a white one (yes, it did end up the most expensive saddle in the world). But now I love my SMP (I've got the Dynamic). It's got a whopping cutout, and it's all curvy (pervy??) so it wraps around my pelvis . . . Seriously - it takes a little getting used to, but definitely the most comfy saddle I've ever ridden. Like most of the cutout saddles I find it works best with a fairly light chamois (my fave at the moment is the Protective Franca bibs - which have a zip down the back for all those necessities!)
Be warned - the SMP website is very confusing!!

Hi
We have an Elite hard bike box free to a good home.
The good - it's a strong, lockable case with foam inside.
The bad - the shell has a crack (but it's been well mended), and a kind airline broke the wheels off.
So the box is sound and will protect your bike well - you will just need a trolley at the airport (or arms like an Urang Utan) to move it around.
First to answer/collect can have it (small donation to LFGSS would be appreciated).
Cheers
Stiff Link - feel free to give me a call on 020 8998 7271.
