The supporting text is pretty crap to be honest, I just knew I needed to get training so I chose the first plan that sort of applied to me.
Friday calls for Tempo pace too, more confusion.
I'll trying knocking some time off my 'easy' pace and stick to that for the first session, see how I get on. I'm sure i'll soon find out, one way or another
Cheers

Got some more noob questions if you don't mind answering them. So I'm on to the sixth week of the Martin Yelling plan now and Wednesday calls for - 10 mins easy, (60 secs
fast, 2 mins jog recovery) x 8,
10 mins easy = 44 mins.Would y'all just go by feel and do as fast as you can? or something a bit more scientific maybe

Cheers, and you @user69121, I wrote a long reply but it's disappeared.
I'm doing the improver one at the minute, it just feels like this plodding along is sucking the speed out my legs. But I'm wondering if that's more of a flexibility issue than anything.
Probably just overthinking it, it's taken over my life a lot more than I expected

This might be a bit of a silly question but I'm into week four of this Martin Yelling marathon plan. The first few weeks have just been 'easy' pace runs but I've basically kept the same pace over the few weeks. Now I've been wondering whether that might have been a bit of an error and I should be pushing it a bit each time?

Think I might have drained my new battery trying to start it too many times when I was struggling with my alternator woes.
Plausible?
Edit - finally worked out the multimeter and its reading 10.77 on the battery(disconnected). That sound too low to start it? Getting conflicting answers from other google results

My first bit of car maintenance didn't go as well as I'd hoped.
Replaced the alternator last night, got a new battery and just went to fire it up. Sounded like it was really struggling to turn over, then it kicked into life but there was a lot of squealing and some smoke as I assume it burnt out. Then the car died.
I wonder if the belt was too lose/tight? Can't see what else it could be

What was that rule about running when ill, above the chest = fine?
Got a pretty bleak head cold but feel OK body wise
