new robocop looks shit

just looks like a guy in a suit not a proper robot
I think it looks ok, I think you are forgetting that Robocop was actually just a man in a suit too. But they also used CG in many scenes. Reminds me of Deus-Ex style cyborg implants. Which is better conceptually than putting a brain into a machine.

I quite liked the movie. I liked the premise, it turned out to be better than I expected. Acting was ok, Michael Shannon was good, and JGL was ok. But there are some holes in places, mainly the character back story, but then that isn't really important unless you overthink it.
@7Llewelyn He wasn't a drop out - he just didn't want the 9-5 life. Which actually doesn't make sense. He paid money to go to law school, and graduated. In which case he is never going to re-pay his student loans whilst being a courier. So perhaps he was rich already, or maybe he got a scholarship.
My favourite bit is the fact that the whole premise and name of the film being 'premium rush' is about him having 2 hours to deliver the package.
Yeah 90 minutes to deliver a package sounds a like 'Super Premium Rush Saver'.
I'm now waiting for the computer game to come out.

Dredd - very enjoyable, a proper comic book adaptation for a change
I really like Dredd - thought they did much better than the last attempt to being Dredd to the big screen. Urban does Dredd effortlessly, its a shame he doesn't get many leading roles. Plus seeing Olivia Thirlby doing something quite different for her was also good.
Did anyone go and see moonrise kingdom?
I missed it at the cinema, waiting patiently for it to come out on DVD. Worth the wait?
I missed it in the cinema to, DVD is out 1st October so not long to wait.
Yes 'The Master' does look good. Going to have the scientologists up in arms.
^^ I said I'd never watch another jjjjwwwwaaakkkiiiimmmeee pheonix film after 'im still here'... but I might just have to, that looks well good.
Hahaha 'I'm Still Here' was meant to be a big hoax. The amount of trouble they went through to pull it off is amazing. Pure genius.
The other film I watched last week was 'Premium Rush' - which amazingly is way better than I expected. Firstly they got all the terminology right, and didn't make anything up. I think JGL was actually riding fixed! The skids were impressive, the effect gimmick with the routes at junctions I thought was a nice touch. (I wish I could do that.) Michael Shannon was great too. Plot wise not amazing, but works quite well. Set in near realtime, but with flashbacks.

The iPlayer app doesn't use flash, it uses the mpeg4/h264 streams that the BBC provides (same as the desktop app for windows and mac). The only time it uses flash is when you visit the iPlayer website and view a program in a webpage.
So try again using the app instead from the Nexus 7 and it should work.

Anyone else preorderd a nexus 7?
At that price they seem like a no brainier to me.
Not yet, going to wait for the 16GB one. Apparently PCWorld will be selling them next week. So I wanted to test a few things out before buying.
think that 7" Nexus tablet could become the one tablet to rule all - particularly if they wise up and stick SD storage on the next revision
Yeah that is one of the annoyances is the missing SD slot. The Nexus 7 supports USB host mode, meaning you can plug in joypads, keyboards and mice etc. I have a 3G stick which has a microSD card on it. Apparently it should work with Android. Having a dongle hanging off a tab might look a little shit, but it will at least. Give me those 2 missing features, hopefully. If it doesn't then Dropbox and Phone tethering it is then.
Speaking of phones I upgraded my Ray to ICS a few weeks back. The little improvements are obvious in the UI. Seems a little whizzier. Using Chrome as my browser, which I really like. The new notification screen is ace.

The Dictator is funny and not as satirical nor as offensive as it could have been. (Though perhaps after borat i am immune), apart from one section which really hit the mark (no spoiler).
I saw The Dictator a couple of night ago too. I thought it was quite good, funnier than Bruno, but not as good as Borat. I also think that it was intentionally done that way to facilitate the bit that 'hit the mark'.
I want to go see the new Piranha movie, but no one else want to go see it :-( Actually I don't think it is on any more, so will wait for DVD.
This weekend gonna see Moonrise Kingdom for sure. Maybe The Raid.

I finally got past Beliel - I did have to re-configure my skills a little. Went back to sword and shield. Got past Beliel with the aid of my brothers Wizard who was also at level 23. Range attacks for Beliel are really useful - something a monk can't do. I'm at nearly 27 now. Got some really good drops too. So powering through Act 3. Just done the mid-way boss.
