hi everyone, i've got a late 2010 macbook pro 13" (the last of the core 2 duo models i believe) and need a new power adapter.
it originally came with the 'l-shaped' magsafe adapter like this:

do i need to get this shape or is it okay to go for the other type, like in this auction: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Uk-ship-White-60W-MagSafe-AC-Power-Adapter-Charger-for-Apple-MacBook-UK-plug-/251074230655?pt=UK_Computing_LaptopAccessories_PowerSupplies&hash=item3a7530b97f?also is there anything to be wary of when buying these non-apple adapters?
thanks -

you can use a bearing puller which hooks round the back of the spider and pushes on the bolt, or you could get a pair of wooden wedges and put them inbetween the bottom bracket shell and crank then hammer the crank off.
another option would be to take the bolt out and then ride the bike around for a bit, but obviously this could end up a bit scary..

CD, not ceramic, the ceramic is black with grey ceramic braking surface.
and has been discontinued.
good choice on open pros, i'd heard of decreasing quality over the past few years but mine have been excellent. cheap (ish), light and good looking.
i also know people who put serious mileage on them without issue.i'd still be interested to try a rim with a 23mm profile though..
