Sonder Cortex SLX
I’ve had this since May 2022, but have only ridden it during the summer.
It’s a great bike, lots of fun, but most of the time I don’t do the kind of riding that it’s designed for so have switched to something more XC.This is a link to the current SLX model, I don’t think the spec or frame has changed since I bought mine.
https://alpkit.com/products/sonder-cortex-slxBut I did make some changes from the stock model:
- Rear shock upgraded to Cane Creek DBair IL, super plush, loadsa adjustability.
- Wheels upgraded from Sonder Nova to Sonder Alpha - lighter, nicer hubs, more productive.
- Revelation damper upgraded to the Charger 2.1 RCT3, which I believe means the forks are essentially the same as a pair of Pikes.
- Tubeless Set-up
Everything works great, there are probably a couple of small marks here and there on the frame, but nothing major.
I’ve done about 70 hours of riding on it. The forks have had their first (50 hour / oil change) service. The rear shock is recommended a first service at 100 hours.
The front tubeless set up isn’t perfect, it looses a bit of air overnight, but I just pumped the tyres up to the right pressure before each ride and it was fine.
The tyres are the stock ones it came with, I switched to something more XC after a couple of short rides, so these ones are pretty much new.
I cut the bars down a bit so they are 710 wide.
Crappy plastic pedals in the photos are not included, unless you really really want them.Any questions / further info needed please ask.
Final price drop before ebay.
£1000 picked up from SE4
£1050 posted to mainland UK (properly boxed up and sent via Paisley Freight). - Rear shock upgraded to Cane Creek DBair IL, super plush, loadsa adjustability.

My joycons seem to be broken. Well to be exact only one of them and only a bit broken, but broken enough to make it annoying.
I don’t want to pay £60 for a new set of official nintendo ones. There seem to be 1000s of almost identical looking knock off ones on amazon and ebay. Has anyone bought any of these / can anyone point me to a pair that will do all the same things as the official ones and won’t break in a week?

Cheers @c.h.e and @JB. Will just keep it for watch related emergencies then.

Before I leave this out for the local scavengers is anyone interested in a fairly basic rear wheel that I took off my partner's hybrid?
The rim is fine, straight, a bit worn but plenty of life left in it.
The hub is a bit rough but does run. It's a cup and cone hub. I had a quick look and the cones on both sides are fairly pitted. I didn't investigate further, it could be that if you replace the cones and bearings you could get it running smoothly again, though I suspect the cups are a bit worn as well.
Shimano HG freehub and I think I have the QR skewer somewhere to go with it.
If you want it give me a shout. Pick up in SE4, near Crofton Park station.

I'm not sure the emails work. I tried to reply to my email, but got an error message.
I had actually been sent a code, but for some reason (maybe I signed up via a VPN) it was in German.
Anyway, I went on the website and went through a couple of loops in the chat bot until I got to chat to an actual person (or a very convincing AI), then explained the situation and they gave me a code.
