I bought a hub on eBay posted second class in November last and it took eight weeks to arrive after the seller had refunded me.

I think it’s working better as a tyre and mudguard ensemble now.

I have one of these in 32 hole NOS

I am currently running 50x13 on a 3 speed SA hub which gives me a 64 inch second gear.

If l change the sprocket to a 14 tooth for a lower ratio will it bugger up the chain tension or derailleur as this is not a standard combo for Bromptons?

As has been said low end Merckx branded replica bikes were l believe sold in the seventies or early eighties.

Perfect as a beater but l wouldn’t spend money restoring it except to get it roadworthy.

I currently have a riser bar on a m stem and the reach is too short.

It looks like the s stem has a bigger forward reach.

Is that the stem or the bar?

This maybe not the answer you are looking for but would it not be wiser to allow for bigger clearances so you could upgrade to fatter tyres in the future.

Open pros will take 28mm tyres easily so you could plan a good deep drop caliper into the design like the TRP 957.
