I was really after a road crankset as I have a bracket and outer ring ready to use and was going to try a medium cage rear mech set up.

The tyres look great with the frame but not with the bars and saddle.
Maybe change the tyres or the brown stuff.
The handlebars should be set so they are at least parallel with the ground or slightly pointed up but no more than ninety degrees with the headtube.

Paul dropouts require the chainstays to arrive lower than the rear axle.
If you fit these dropouts the geometry will be screwed apart from anything else.
Don't do it.

The point I was trying to make was when you combine the weight of a full bottle with the cage, the cage is a small proportion of the total weight.

Yes I know they are common. Do come in carbon though :)
I was also thinking about 750ml bottles which are more diffcult to restrain.
