Velodrome session was initially intimidating have never ridden fixed or on wood that wasn't duck board aka North Shore. Once I got used to focusing on the lines and not up the road it was fine, although the pain did kick in after each five lap razz. There was a good crash near the end when one of our group managed to clip the upper barrier(!) on the entrance to the turn, sliding slowly down the banking and skittling three more newbies. Would do it again for the fitness aspect, otherwise compared to polo or mountainbiking, is pretty dull! Indoor BMX looks awesome - that's next on my list of must try's...

Neil (or anyone) do you have a 9 speed shifter for mtb just to borrow for the weekend? Mines not going to be delivered in time and it's all that's stopping my mtb being finished
Sorry Ste - didn't see this yesterday as I came straight to polo from the velodrome - I don't have any 9sp kit as I'm all about the retro! Can do you 6/7/8sp thumbies no problemo!
Our kitchen sink is sunk into a slab of granite, so no can do on that one Drew - there's a sink in the polo bus if you're desperate to wash up, mind...
