what do those pictures have to do with this particular case, just because you are present at a protest doesn't mean you have the right to be truncheoned... or in ian tomlinson's case, killed.
the right to protest, and right to free speech, in this country is something you should be proud of, and should be protected at all costs.

hmm.. interesting discussion. the fact of the matter is, she didn't break any law, she got beaten by someone who swore an oath to protect her, he got off. it doesn't matter whether she sold her story or not.
if everything were dealt internally all the time in any organisation (as has well been demonstrated in the past), this would just open things up to cover-up and corruption and watching each other's backs. e.g. the catholic church.
that's why we have the IPCC, needless to say they aren't doing that greater job but that's another story.

Just got a reply from Tessa Jowell MP:
**Thank you for your recent letter regarding Early Day Motion number 600. I am afraid that, as a Minister, I am unable to sign Early Day Motions.
I have however, raised your concerns with Rt. Hon. Lord Andrew Adonis, Secretary of State, at Dept. for Transport and I will get back to you when I have a response to pass on.
I do hope this is helpful.
With best wishes,
Yours sincerely,
Rt. Hon. Tessa Jowell MP

i've had issues for years, and the HMs are great (aeron and mirra)
but i stopped using the HM because it was cutting off the circulation in my legs (i sit at a computer for about 9-10 hours a day) whereas the ball does not. the ball is good, hard to get used to and annoying to adjust the height, but it was cheap and i needed a solution.
if i had the money to buy another chair, i would get this bad boy

by far the best task chair i've used

this morning i said to a fellow cyclist who was hugging a kerb going northbound on london road with a massive bus behind him:
"hey it might be safer for you in future to ride on the right side of that lane, i had a bus almost kill me last week because he was impatient. luckily that bus driver then was good enough to just follow you. if you get a bad driver and you're in the kerb and they try to overtake you, the traffic coming the other way will force him back into you. "
"he said thanks mate, glad you're ok"
not all take it the wrong way
