it doesn't make sense, if she was pushing her bike, then technically she is not in operation of the bike. she's a pedestrian right? hence not bound by highway code — just as if she were pushing her bike along a sidewalk... in this case it still should be a drivers responsibility to look out for pedestrians, and give them the right of way even if the driver is given a green light or right of way, correct? also — correct me if i'm wrong, but — last time i checked, jaywalking is technically not a crime in the UK?

has a few crap components on it otherwise as well, the freewheel namely. i replaced the handlebars and the pedals too - between the grips and the brake levers there's this annoying shim that seems to just be there to make the grips look flush with the rest of the bar, within a couple of days it came loose, started to rattle so I pulled them off.

you might have to replace the saddle as well as the one it comes with is a rock hard plastic number - mine came already replaced.

otherwise it's pretty good for an OTP, but probably not as good as some other ones if you were buying brand new.

wow, just got a call from the met literally 15 minutes after i submitted the thing, they just wanted a bit more info so they could follow it up.

I just used this to report a driver who last night — when I didn't feel safe riding between the gridlocked traffic — tailgaited me, proceeded to beep uncontrollably and then when I shook my head, rammed the back of my bike deliberately.

I saw he was also driving a Zipcar, so I called them and reported him as well to them. When he saw me doing (and taking photos) this he looked all nervous and tried to drive away.

They said that was completely unacceptable behaviour from one of their customers and would follow the matter up seriously... hope he gets what he deserves
