Has anybody seen this?
They are double wall and quite sturdy. I've been using them for a while now and they have withstood the abuse. http://www.bcity.es/detalle.php?cod=233&fam=12&sfa=41
Not the best hubs (cheap loose bearing hubs), but you can buy just the rim if you want (less than 20€).
They ship anywhere. -
I'll just leave this here....

And: Rakete (Marc & Oli) played with El Clubs Kiko...Controversy!!!!
what do you guys think of this situation? 2/3 original team, with a strong sub..... -

Has anyone tried the H+Son EERO Rims? (H+'s trick rim) not cheap I imagine but then neither are chukkers and they look like they could be pretty damn bombproof.
I did for a while.
they are reaaaally solid. The main drawbacks are for 1 no braking surface (squeaky and not very good braking.... nevermind when it rains), 2 the price and last but not least they are heavy (something along 7-800g just for the rim)
But like I said, they were strong. Reaaaaaally strong. -

Isn't this the case anyway? The whole point of one rep from each city filling one out... I'd say its fair for London to have 4 of the 10, the other 6 divided between the other cities.
If this isn't the case, I'd suggest LDN has a quali, and the rest of the uk have a separate quali for the other 6. I'm sure that the LDN teams that didn't make the top 4 would still qualify via the wild card.
These are all suggestions, it's ultimately Ale & co's decision and no one should try and influence this.
I thought about allocating spots to London exclusively, to which our euro committee refused on the basis that england polo is now a formidable opponent to London's massive league.
It really is your call as to how you want to grant the spots. -

lobp update says definitely not june 4th/5th. Seems like 25th/26th.
Not clear which way they're going to go on country/city selection, although the way i read it they're likely to leave it up to each country to sort for themselves:
*"we are making sure we can have a wildcard tourney, so that those that couldn't make it intheir national qualifiers can still come and play*."

They have no idea if they'll have 1 court or 4
Not even close to reality. We have a pretty detailed plan of what we need for this event (it's not like you can ask for a location without one).
I just don't want to start giving out specifics that might change (we all know what that's been like). And I know, it's about damn time I do!!! -

I haven't played with a MKE pole so i will take 2 to try it out.
The perro poles: well the first two i got from Alej at the worlds were awesome, i'm still using one and the other one i bent because i was pissed off waiting for a pick up game to end. Not the fault of the pole.
However the one that i built up from the second batch,(the london group order) bent in the first game and a few other people have had problems with them breaking prematurely.
Were they different batches from the supplier Alej?
They are supposed to be all exactly the same. No change in specs, not even different batches. I will inquire with the manufacturer. I don't want my stuff to be of inconsistent quality.
