I'm a bit confused as how the subbing goes...
Is it up to the captain of the team? Is there a time limit?
Also, do you have to wait for the player being subbed to get off the court before the replacement goes in?
We have a cool spot just outside of Barcelona and I wanted to throw a BM there in the near future.... any help will be greatly appreciated. -

Not a video, but still worth sharing...
DT, you're the poster boy for bike polo Bogotá! -

@gponx
People who works on their ball handling without that are pissed of.SJM (I refuse to call it "cheater") don't magically give you ball control. You have to actually learn how to use them (although it is a less steep learning curve).
If you follow that logic, we should ban freewheeling, because a lot of people work real hard on their pedalling and bike control....Whatever... let's time decide.
-
So, to ref it by sight, you have to be perpendicular to the bike at all times to be accurate, how are you proposing to do this?
Actually, I have a great idea.....
When you pin the ball it stops rotating a bit, right? Maybe Crack Fox's super half-red/half-white balls will solve this refereeing mystery once and for all. -

I guess there will be no rule on it until the Americans decide on a unified stance for their tournaments, then we will all follow that.
That's exactly what I don't understand. Don't we have a polo community that stands on its own? Can't we make our own decisions?
If the side-cut mallet was so advantageous, then I guess a SJ team would have taken the trophy at the worlds.... but no,they came in fourth. -
It has been highlighted that the ball-joint rule applies to any open orofice on the mallet, so the side or the end.
Except that on frontal ball-joint you pin the ball to the ground, but you only guide the ball with the side cuts. Which is not even a scoop.
I'm not sure to want to stop the specialization/development of the gear on such a young sport...
and it's not like it gave a clear and definitive advantage to a less skilled player.... -

All cheater mallets got taped up... No big deal...
Nice shafts BTW... :]
I don't get this whole "cheater mallet" deal coming up all of a sudden. If I remember correctly, the nicest Rik Industries mallets have this type of cutouts and many of the finest players in London used them. What happened all of a sudden?
On other issues, I'm happy the shafts are performing.
(Em, I remember you giving your shaft two weeks tops at the London Open.... what's the current situation of that shaft?) -

I wanted to do a multiball with the 100 odd i had left at the end of the tournament .
I"ve got them on Sickbay at an extortionate price 3 quid
White and yellow are on their way plus more reds . Blue and pink costs more so i'm not convinced . 2 tone samples,i.e half red half white being made up right now , (so you can see the spin!)
Balls being used at Dutch tournament in Utrecht tooHow much will they cost?
Those half and half sound sweet! -

hey rich, alejandro (gponx) is the man to speak to, he markets and sells the 'perro del mallet' aluminium shafts. he did a bulk order for london, manchester and cambridge recently, and the approximate cost for 11 shafts is less than a tenner per pole delivered. obviously this cost goes down with more poles (shipping is the same cost to a point).
i think the fact people are buying more off him is a testament to the quality!
You da man! Thanx for the good word.
Yeah, Perro del Mal(let) are the bees knees. But don't worry, we are currently working on a London distro. In any case, PM me.

Here's the info. Who paid what.
Now, the tracking number is:
896025540897
You can check it at https://www.seur.com/CambioIdioma.do?idioma=en
and select "tracking by IBL No." on the drop down menu. There was a general strike in Spain and it was quite a mess. Give it a bit of patience for the tracking to work.
Thank you very much London community!!!!!!!
Give me some news when you receive them. -
Wasn't there a document in the leagueofbikepolo saying that there should be 3m?
2m is a bit tight and 4 is way too big. You want people to pass freely behind the net without them staying there for too long......
