Lad, seriously, risers on a Low-Pro !
:(
Can't believe you got rid of it. I sold the one I got from you and I've constantly regretted it since.
Shitty builds I can tolerate, but stipping/grinding that frame is tragic. If you want something like that, don't pick an ex-pro team bike to bastardise.
Yeahyeah, I know about the risers, but it wasn't finished yet.
If it comforts you: I planned on some Syntace Zeros (as the Tempo I had on before was not comfi at all), but unfortunately had to sell it to pay some bigger bills.
I'm now saving up for a regular 700c bike. ;)And Sanddancer, exactly my thoughts. Weird thing is he told me his dad used to be a pro and so I expected him to know what (not) to do.
I'm now actually in the process rebuying some of the parts, haha.

Clearcoat is flaking a bit and a little corrosion on bars as pictured.Levers:

Some superficial scratches as pictured.

I'm looking for some late 80's/early 90's stuff, for example:

Matching 48/49t ring + bb BSA (for conversion)

Just picked up this resprayed bike and cant find out what it is..
Especially since it's a Frankenbike; 105, Santé, RSX, Athena, Exage, carbon Sugino 75 levers and these (rather exclusive?) Cinetica Giotto bars..

Late 80's Tange tubing, rear brake cable through tt & Panasonic drop-outs, curved brake bridge.
Judging by the lather and comparing the inner lugs of the fork to other Tange tubed bikes (Centurion, Cilo etc), it probably is a Panasonic, but which?
I can't find out wether it's Tange #1, #2 or maybe even Prestige.Looks a lot like these 1989 Panasonic P.I.C.S. Team Custom Frame and PICS Team 1200.
Am I right?
Sorry for the shitty iPhotos; dslr battery is flat.

700c (see label picture)
The frame itself is in perfect condition. No stripped threadings, dings, dents or anything.
Ofcourse some small chips etc, but I guess that normal for a bike like this.Make sure to check the hi-res photo - it won't show you everything, but it shows a lot.
If you're interested I can make some more photos. -

The ride was really nice, but I'm not experienced at all, so don't take my word for it.
I'd say: check some reviews on google? From my 2sec search, I see they're pretty highly rated.Good thing you ask about the brakes; although the front brake doesn't appear to be worn, it does have a bit more 'lever-travel' (?) than the rear one. Haven't tried adjusting it, but I guess it won't be that much of a problem?

*SOLD*SOLD*SOLD*SOLD*SOLD*SOLD*SOLD*SOLD*SOLD*
After riding this bike from Paris to Barcelona, my dad was supposed to take it, but he changed his mind.
So I'm now putting it up for sale, as it's actually too small for me.Koga Miyata Globetraveller
7005 alloy - dubble butted
54cm c-c seat tube
21spdCranks: Sugino XD / 170mm
Brakes / Levers:** Magura HS22**
BB: Shimano ...
Hubs: Deore XT
Headset: Shimano/Koga
Rear derailleur:** Deore XT**
Front derailleur / shifter: Deore XT
Rims / Tires: Mavic M261 / Conti Top Touring 2000
Saddle: generic gel thingy
Seatpost: generic
Stem: Koga
Bars: separate butterfly bars - adjustable horizontally & vertically / new foam
Carriers: Esge
Lights: some cheap LEDs
Pedals: Exage Trail PD-M350Points of attention:
- front wheel is not completely straight.
- front fender broke on the train to Paris, so ditched it.
- rear tire is ridable, but not perfect.
- GripShift rubbers are a bit worn.
- some wear on the carriers (although it's only the foil that's coming off).
- stem has scratches and some play. Common issue with these and I solved it during the ride by taking out the bumper/rubber and tightening it completely.
- regular chips and scratches on frame.
So with a little TLC, you can have yourself a fine bike again.
If anyone want specific gear tooth counts, let me know.I still have the original dynamo, which was mounted at the BB shell, lever and halogen front light that stores up energy (not working, I think).
I can throw in an adjustable seatpost and a steerer bag mount too.I'm asking:

That is sensible and thoughtful, but I guess I'll wait what more comes by.
