I don't like the fact that if you wear proper clipless shoes then want to do anything other than cycle (like spend the whole day at work/college) you have to carry around another pair of shoes in your bag. I hate bulky bags and shoes are the worst!

My friend was doing a radio show there for a week so Tourism Australia organised loads of stuff for free for him and his team so that they would say how brilliant and amazing Australia was on the show, and I was tagging along so I got to enjoy all the perks too.

For every 60 seconds of activity there was 4 minutes of people milling around confusedly. That is not my idea of a riveting game!

I'm finally taking the plunge into fixed and am going to need to invest in some SPD's as I've tried riding fixed with toe clips/cages and I just can't master getting both feet in.

Pah, it's not hard to get both feet into clips once you get the hang of it, it's all about the timing really

I read that with great interest. Then I realised that I was enthusiastically reading a thread about different things to wear on your crotch while cycling and came to the conclusion that somewhere over the last few months I have changed radically as a person.

Downsides of being the only one on the ride with a camera = no photos of you to prove that you did it :(
