I just happened to be on Jermyn street with my family at the time everyone set off - as a bystander it looked brilliant, London needs lot's more of this kind of event.
I'm posting on here though because of the serious *hole cabbie who was blowing a gasket, threatening the marshals and onlookers where the road was blocked at Jermyn St. He must have been there all of 30s before he started getting abusive, he got out and tried to wrestle with someone at one point, then got back in his cab and started to drive it into the marshals, everyone was yelling at him and he backed down. When some bloke on the pavement told him to calm down he got a mouthful of abuse and threats, all in front of the kids and other onlookers.
All the while the marshals were very, very calm, mostly apologising and asking him to be patient - huge respect to them.
I'm generally pretty tolerant of drivers and other peoples behaviour on the roads, we all eventually have to get on and I think things are slowly moving in the right direction, vast improvement to how things were 20 years or so ago at any rate. However, when you see someone behaving like this I just think they are a danger to us all and belong in the past, and off the roads. Seriously, enough of them!
So if anyone else saw this incident and wants to report it, I got the details below.
You can fill out a form here: https://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/contact/pco/Hiii All !
What an amazingly fun day! Great to meet so many lovely people and hopefully will bump into some of you again...at the 50 fixed ladies : )I was also pushed over by a black cab near Haymarket (not the above incident) and would like to report it. A chap in tweed attire (bah!) was going to post the details for me......help are you out there?!
Cheers

Wednesday
Easts, departing at 7pI'll see what the traffic is like down the embankment. 7pm is probably better down the strand. Ludgate Hill will be nice challenge for the high geared people, and we'll see the sights.

for anyone who is interested.....
The first feature documentary by director Nick Mason. He followed a group of amateur cyclists on their epic eight-day ride over 1,000km across the French Alps, to raise money for leukaemia research. The film, showcasing at the ICA, follows them through the stunning landscapes, personal perils and struggles with willpower.

I do it in a container - spouting that is! but a jar with perforated lid is probably the best. (too lazy to buy one). nail and hammer comes to mind.
I mix chick peas, lentils (brown/green/black), mung beans...fully soak for the first couple of days, then drain water and give a rinse every day to keep fresh. once sprouted I refrigerate.
If your going to mix it up, some pulses take longer to sprout. -

Hiya Ziska, I know this is late, but anything to promote compass drinks esp Easts. Please come through!!! Amazing group all of them. Blue Quinn and Somebody will gladly take you under their wings like they did for me!
Wont be there tonight personally as overtime has bitten my scanky ass. But please go to easts! Its winter and a warm drink in hand and good company is always needed!
Everyone on here should go to compass drinks, join us for some forum rides and in general, realise that this forum is only a spring board to something much much deeper. The people on here are amazing, varied, and very interesting. And likewise will welcome you in like a long lost family member.
On my first one, i went to the bar and asked barmaid for the cyclists. She gave me a beaming smile and pointed to a small gathering outside hooting and hollowering. The staff of any of the pubs that the compass drinks frequent will know LFGSS very well.
Cheers for the nudge - when I'm back from NZ i'll pop by for sure.
You'll all be happy to know its beautifully hot over here and the beach is only 15min ride away. BAH. -
YES! Lets do an animal theme.....I have zebra print!
