There is no bonk, there is only the talented, and the less talented.
"“WHAT IS TALENT, REALLY? … [INDENT] *“… IS IT THE FACT THAT YOUR HEART PUMPS MORE VOLUME THAN THE AVERAGE PERSON’S, OR THAT YOUR BLOOD TURNS LESS ACIDIC WHEN EXERCISING SO THAT YOU RECOVER FASTER? NO—TALENT HAS TO DO WITH YOUR CAPACITY FOR SUFFERING. YOU JUST LEARN TO SUFFER MORE.
*IN THE END, MAYBE, THERE IS NO EXPLAINING."

18 months ago kids would be trading in their art collective memberships and beating each other to death with their DSLRs to get their hands on a white spok. Now 30+ replies and a reasonable (for a spok) price and no takers. Maybe tastes really ARE changing. I blame the forum.
Or it could be that they've just moved on to tri-spokes for circus wheels as they are carbon and really light and fast and impervious to wind.
If anyone has one I'm in the market by the way.

I’m glad that I’m not the only one who’s decided to take a week off (one to recover from months and months of biking every day and the St Margarets ride, which beautiful bastard though it was, knocked it out of me a little) until the roads clear up. Although it’s goddamn beautiful today I’m happy to let those Altura fucktards smash around the roads on their wife’s mountain bike until things get chilly.
Bit of a shame the Central line’s a bit fucked this week. Sweaty times down there atm

Again thanks to Stonehenge, Munch and Dropout for guiding/providing backup. And thanks to Skive too who - though he wasn't there for it - still set it up and found a new leader so we could do it.
And boy did we ever. Loveliest route I've done on I don't know how long on one of Englands finest days. There was some serious exercise on this ride, but was happy to climb those hills as the woodsmoke, autumn leaves, harvesters, quiet lanes and low but strong sunlight made it all so damn beautiful.
Similar to OLC I bailed at Dover to make it back for a party. Would have loved to see the beach proper...maybe (definitely!) next time.
Great pics btw Fox

8.30 am, saw a chap sitting on a corner of Boscombe Road and Uxbridge Road with an ambulance in attendence, couple cars stopped. Was a sliver/chrome SS with deep section silver wheels, yellow writing down the frame. I heard "...case of dangerous driving so the police are on their way..."
Really hope the chap is ok.
