Yeah it's a tough balance in winter

dqeDv by danieljsoul, on FlickrI'm going lycra underneath jeans.
By the way Ditchling is definitely doable on 65-70 gi, I'll be doing it 68gi (ss though).

Yeah I smashed into a ped on while in that fucking awful narrow cemented-in cycle lane going east to west crossing over Tottenham CtR. Was mid green when I was going through (to account for my relative speed) and my yell beforehand cleared the crossing except for one chap who had his headphones in. He feighted backwards, then forwards so and then right into me.
I had right of way so feel fine about continuing through and so am techincally not at fault (I'd say) - but I also know it's a notorious crossing for people ignoring the signal. So although I was really fucked off for wrecking in the first place and secondly at his inattentive walking, there is still a part of me realises the collision occured in part because of my lack of care for zombie peds.
tl;dr
I had right of way, but I could have maybe prevented the collision by knowing peds better than they know themselves.

The price of this foffa bike has me lolling in the aisle. It's really heavy but fast apparently.

Bad news/Good news:
Made a bad move across Russell Square this a.m. where I jumped the lights from the north end going west to east (closed to traffic atm) as I didn't think they'd change and sort of cut up a normal looking chap on an old racer when the lights changed with me halfway through the junction. Felt bad, I apologised. If I were him I would have called me out. We can all have bad moments I suppose...
Howeve I got undertaken approaching Blackfriars junction/bridge on Friday night, the bastard. Caught up with him on the bridge and very politely explained that undertaking was dangerous and I didn't think it was a wise idea. I just stared at me and I let him ride off. About 50ft down he sort of half-yelled something back, but it was well ineffectual and I just felt sorry for him for not being able to 'produce' on the spot. Ha.

Fox, thanks for the correction on debate - it's a bad habit from researching Hansard for my job as I'm always asked for proper debate for bills, and the word debate always gets chucked around even when asked for misterial statements etc.
But from what I know the Lords can still offer plenty of amendments when a bill is in 3rd reading or being ping-ponged (again with me and debates), but again as you said this was not a public policy-change opportunity

The profile map doesn't mean much to me other than it looks sort of hard. In, on my SS.
edit: similar sort of elevation gain to St Margarets Bay, for those of you who've done that.
