I have a silver langster, I ride NW, Euston to Kilburn, where did you ntice this? Fairly sure my sprocket is good though. BB has developed a noticable tick though.
This was on High Holborn. The chap on the black langster like a checkered flag (what is that 2008 or something?) mentioned it was time to change that sprocket after a terrible clunking noise. I would never offer unsolicited mechanical advice unless it was a slack chain in which case I am unable to control myself.

I know the way to Cambridge and would probably be happy to help lead. Someone should do something about this. I mean, really.

Just because there have always been lying cheaters out there doesn't reduce them to anything other than what they are: lying cheaters.
I'm not saying Vino is, but it's sounds like he's got some allegations worth responding to.
Not sure it should be merged with the doping thread - it's only tangentially related to doping. This is a bribery case uncovered by a doping investigation. As a librarian and indexer I remain a (powerless) authority on the topic.

Doesn't the UCI also occasionally accept private donations from successful Tour riders as well? #zing

Thanks for bringing this to the forums attention. I have demanded dedicated, traffic-free cycle lanes lead up to, on or under any bridge or tunnel and safe exit to cycle lanes on the other side in my views (and thought funding should be toll-based).
Tom I agree with you on every aspect of your post (thank you), save for one point: I can't say I agree with you on on the barriers and cycling provision in the Greenwich Foot Tunnel. Making it cycle-only hardly makes sense for peds - clearly on the weekends and in the summertime it's busy with walkengers, esp now that the Cutty Sark is right there on the south side. As for sharing, It's easy to get up to 25 mph on the the descent to the middle and that's not safe for other users. The barriers prevent that. At the moment walking it only takes what, 7-8 minutes? I think it's a compromise cyclists should make to offer fair use for what is a tiny tunnel. Lack of foresight when it was built? Yes, but that's most things in London built pre-1940... Which of course leads to the conclusion both you and I agree on: a new cross-river transport option is needed because it is definitely insufficient and unsafe for cyclists at the moment.

So was it fun because it was interesting and well organised, because the food was good, because it was a good destination and a good route OR was it good because it's just fucking awesome to ride bikes with your mates, and riding through the night feels epic? Was it fun because they made it fun, or because you were doing a fun thing which they charged you £45 to do?
I'm not hating, I'm just saying if you find a nice route, pack well for the night and bring some good friends you can blow an organised ride out of the water

I'm in. I remember doing a Circle Line ride with about 9 others and we thinking we were smashing it around. I think it took only a little more than an hour and twenty or something? That was wicked.
