For the time being, have some neg rep...
Where are the LFGSS team in the standings? Can't find them...
http://cyclechallenge.tfl.gov.uk/leaderboard.php go to 51-100 members then social groups. Get back-logging those miles.
We're actually third overall in 51-100 members, second in social groups

planning on doing some touring over the summer with a four-day stay in berlin towards the end of july.
can anyone recommend any bike friendly hostels in the city? ideally we'd like to be in kreuzberg near Schlesisches Tor.
I'm off this weekend staying here http://www.imalofts.com/ in Kreuzberg.
Usually stay here, it's fairly cheap if a group of you are going and they've got a courtyard with bike racks and hire bikes.
I'm sure they'd let you take bikes in the rooms if you asked, Dan who runs the places is very easy going.

As this thread depresses me so much, I'm glad to be able to post a tale of a stolen bike successfully recovered.
This from a mate's Facebook this week.
"Bike robbed weds // gumtree ad for identical bike appears thurs // 'geordie Jon' meets mike tyson's twin outside dodgy pub to see goods // all is as suspected // mike gets distracted when asked directions by passer by (thanks whoever you were) // adrenaline rush, foot down, don't look back // opportunity to rightfully reclaim goods dutifully taken // the thief becomes the thieved // sha // moan // mothafukka!!"

For the maths to work, those numbers are points for your OVERALL TOTAL mileage. I don't think you get the extra points PER DAY, just once at the start.
Day 1, you did 10 miles, at 5 points per mile = 50 points
Day 2, you did 28 miles, that's 2 points per mile for the first 10 miles (up to 20 miles) and then 1 point per mile for the next 18 miles (cos by now your TOTAL MILEAGE is over 20) so it adds up as: 20 + 18 = 38 points
Day 3 onwards, I guess you will get a point a mile. For the rest of the month. So I don't think its encouraging us to do short journeys, I think that's to get people started on their first ten miles. Cos let's be honest, we cover a crapload more miles than your average pootler. You gotta think, a lot of peeps cover zero miles most weeks. So them extra points for the first few miles are been and gone for most of us by now. It's nothing but a point a mile from now on I guess...
Ahem.
