Built me a wheel (hub and rim supplied by me) for £60, all-in, including spokes. Turned it around same day too. Good service and nice guys, would use again. 10/10

I don't necessarily race, but I still have blasts around tracks every now and again on my cruiser. Would also like to get back into racing (after a 31 year hiatus), but family duties are saying 'no' (for now...). Merton is my local track, pretty good, but want to get over to Peckham at some point.

Heartening to see a mother leading her two (cycling) children through the cycle lane around E&C. Gave an enthusiastic thumbs-up to one of them, hope to see more of that, although I hope they weren't heading for the bus-trap on the other side.

Gave a wide berth to a bunch of 15 yr old urchins who were dicking around at bus stop at Clapham Common, followed by plastic bottle thrown at me. I stop to see which one it was, then they all hood up and come over, hands down trackies etc. None of them willing to admit who chucked it, but trying to escalate it to something I didn't want any part of. Rode off thinking I should've just kept going in first place, but what the fuck? Kids eh?

Well they certainly won't have any problem stopping*; caliper and disc brakes.

*Until the front wheel collapses.
