Talk about that 26 mile race held in our capital every year. Can the title be changed or deleted? http://www.lfgss.com/thread103867.html#post3499650

It's time for me to replace my front rim (excessive brake wear). It's radial laced (it's an OTP Halo Aerotrack wheel), and I've been reading up on Sheldon about the possibility of the hub being weakened after it's been relaced, due to the grooves that the previous spokes may have made on the flanges.
So, would it be advisable to replace the hub at the same time, or is it OK to reuse? I'm loathed to replace it as it runs beautifully.
Cheers!

Is it a chrome frame? I know that overcleaning can wear away chrome plating, but only over time and I wouldn't have thought 4 months would be long enough. Perhaps the chrome plating isn't up to much, in which case (unless you can get a refund from the manufacturer), a way to solve it may be to have it re-chromed or painted.
But still, 4 months is no time for a bike to start rusting.
Do you have any pics you can put up?
