EVERYONE cycles in Oxford. I've seen quite a few FG/SS about town. There is also a group who play polo in a car park (Curry's I think) on Botley Road, who are all decent chaps and very welcoming to newbies.
I haven't yet found *the *road to ride, but there are some plenty of decent climbs if you head out south past Watlington, and there is a nice route out to Marlborough that's almost all on very small roads that's really nice. I'd be happy to show you when you move up here.
Getting to London couldn't be easier, trains run direct to Paddington or change at Reading for Waterloo, and aren't too expensive. Or there is the Oxford Tube (coach) that takes bikes and runs late into the night.
I keep meaning to go along on a ride with Oxford Road Club, but haven't had the opportunity yet. Will report back when (if) I do.
Hey guys, thank you soo much for the info, really appreciate that!!

Questions 1, 4, 5, and 6 can be easily answered with google and a little effort. You are going to university and should get accustomed to researching and solving your own questions rather than having everything handed t you on a plate.
I will answer for you.
It depends on the road. Some are in good condition others are rougher. You will learn to choose you routes depending on your preferences.
Couldn't get hold of the quest ONE, im serious. Thanks
This is hot, you know where can i get this?
