@JCaprani - please don't get me wrong! like the looks, but drops with 2.5" tyres = strange looks IMHO

re: short for 29er - popular misconception :) i'm 6", and ride 17" 29er, i'm more than positive they produce them in significantly smaller sizes... :)

not sure if this will help, but i have an old(er) campag record hub with single (road) thread - and this thread easily fits cogs, which fit on other, defntly English-threaded hubs

i don't really get this GT to be honest... i have a separate 29er with 2.0 schwalbe big apples for this sort of riding... sorry if i'm missing something :)
