i've got a campag cartridge that'sbeen on the bike for years, done quite a few miles, still turns smoothly.
i'd stick with a cartridge

me and my friend will be down (keadz123) do you still need his details? we'll be down at 8ish. and its around 11 miles for us to get there.. (my house in fulbourn)

no if you register him at the start - and tell them 11 miles each way and they will add it to the total.

seriously though - last year was the first year and there were 7 of us. bruce and i are very grateful to all who have shown an interest.....this year we're expecting around 30. far more than we anticipated.

i have sent some info to the Reverand, including a phone number.

my mileage to the start is approximately 100 yards (!).

i don't know anyone else doing it, apart from Luca, my friend Sian and a few of her work colleagues. She expects to be there at 10am. I have sent her the info she needs so she should have emailed the Reverand some basic info.

i also have in spares bin - a pair of shimano 600 drilled brake levers - no hoods, a 27.2mm seatpost (a bit shabby though, no name either), weinmann brakes - 1 long drop, 1 other short-drop.
also have a 5 speed 16-20 freewheel, 1 new front huret mech.
