I'm trying to touch up my raleigh to see it through the winter before getting it professionally resprayed - But the paint is Pearlescent and I'm having a hard time matching it.
Checked Halfords for there stock - Nothing
I was thinking either Mixing up a little metallic gold hobby paint with gloss white to get a similar effect, or maybe having a look at nail varnish because it would probably have the right shimmer.
Don't want to spend much money on it.
Any ideas?

This may sound a bit odd for such a small detail - I think one of the reasons Campag looks better on older bikes because the cranksets still retain a traditional looking hole in the centre of the crank whereas shimano have that alien like one piece job which just looks a bit wrong. Campag's silver is a pretty traditional affair whilst the silver of Shimano components tend to be more of a blue/grey hue.
Also, the Campag ergo levers are a much more classic shape, whereas the Shimano one's are just fugly.
Heres a picture illustrating my points (though admittedly not a properly vintage frame)

Very nice and great price! Any pics of your Raleigh anywhere?
Yep got one below. Its a road frame, not track, haven't seen one this small so couldn't resist buying it. Paints pretty shabby, I'm touching up the worst of it and throwing on a cheap 80's 105 gruppo for the winter - Plan to get it re-sprayed properly and some nicer component's in the spring.

(This Raleigh is not for sale)

Just want to congratulate the cycling blog team - The last few weeks have produced a good variety of articles, and not at all london centric. The obree piece was particularly good. They need to try and get more coverage from the front page though
It's a shame the CIFers moan so much (read the discussion on the bike films piece) I've never seen so much hatred directed at fixed gears. Can't we just all get along? I actually quite enjoyed BIKEZOIMOND

I had a great time, really enjoyed the film and strangely enjoyed the fact that I almost died on the bike ride but somehow survived intact.
What happened?
Fun night, The cynic in me wanted to hate the film after seeing the trailer but I thought it struck an incredibly joyful tone, and they look like they had a blast making it. Popcorn was excellent aswell!
We were wondering what the equivalent based in birmingham would look like?
