Any recommendations for a "budget" phone for my sister? She's looking at either an LG optimus L5 ii or a Sony Xperia J on a 24 month contract at the moment.
I'd like to try and buy her something sim free for her birthday so she can get a decent sim only deal instead of buying into a crappy 24 month contract.
I guess budget is about £100 for something new or second hand. Any suggestions?

I'd tried ^ on previous updates but I don't think I'd tried it repeatedly, so it never worked. Just tried on my N4 and after 3 attempts it's downloading the updated :)

Love the idea of Chromecast but not sure if you can stream media from your local devices...think everything has to be hosted in the cloud!

You won't be able to do this, at least not at the moment. They've released the SDK though, and people have found that the device has DIAL (DIscovery And Launch) stuff built in which is interesting. I don't know too much about DIAL, but I believe it gives certainly some level of AirPlay like abilities.
